|
|
Ok first I would like to start by saying this thread is only for people who can think outside of the box and are mabey into finding the inner meaning of stuff. Higher level thinking here folks, if you don't have somthing stupid to say then please don't post. Kevin... your not aloud to say anything. I know you know
Now to start, Daikenkai.... for those of you who haven't had a chance to read the english translation here it is:
Quote: | Nonsense language from a rotating head, high tension and a firm beat.
From a 5-match janken match I guide comes tactics for big opinions.
Nonsense language from a rotating head, high tension and a firm beat.
From a 5-match janken match I guide comes tactics for big opinions.
35 plus 4 divided by 2, the partygoers who don't burst open don't know,
This sociable sound demon screwing into an obtuse angle easily,
They dunno where from or where to, but anyway he divided the sound.
Everyone's winding chatter is a dangling handkerchief.
An alteration in the radar and in the nonsense coming over the airwaves,
If you start snorin', your heartbeat that's goin' up as much as your personality changes
Is really greedy, but there's power and land of the priest's staff
And since I was born, I've kept on playin' like this.
Nonsense language from a rotating head, high tension and a firm beat.
From a 5-match janken match I guide comes tactics for big opinions.
Nonsense language from a rotating head, high tension and a firm beat.
From a 5-match janken match I guide comes tactics for big opinions.
From 3rd street to 4th streeth, from main street to the carnal desires,
Pack up the duties left to you, take it all gently,
Really, you don't have to worry if you extend over to this slow train.
Don Pach Don Pach Don Today, on this Japanese island where they're sexin' it up.
From 3rd street to 4th streeth, from main street to the carnal desires,
Pack up the duties left to you, take it all gently,
Really, you don't have to worry if you extend over to this slow train.
Don Pach Don Pach Don Today, on this Japanese island where they're sexin' it up
Don Pach Don Pach Don Today, on this Japanese island where they're sexin' it up.
Don Pach Don Pach Don Today, on this Japanese island where they're sexin' it up.
That time, that time, I give respect, we'll break it all apart, yo, just like this example. |
Just about everyone I know or have let read this song no one has been able to delve a meaning out of it. To most it seems to be a whole bunch of random giberish. I assure you though that this insinuation is wrong. It was in the middle of business law that I printed out a copy of this and started reading over it. Pressed by the thought that no song could mean nothing I spent the rest of the day reading over this and making notes. In my last period of school that day I started to piece together what I thought it could mean.. everything seemed to go together in a very nice though complex sort of puzzle. I varified somthing with my friend and after that I was sure of the big picture. After school I started talking to my friend kevin about it and after hinting enough he too figured it out and between the two of us we managed to uncover the rest of the meaning.
What I ask of you, the intellectual among the ddrfreak posters, is to look over this song, spend an hour or so trying to figure it out for your self. Its not easy by any stretch of the imagination but if I can do it I think you guys can too. I'm gonna leave this up for a day or so and see what people come up with and how close people are. The song does seem to be open to some interpretation but the big picture is rather clear. After I feel enough time has been alloted I will delve what Kevin and I came up with. The only clue I will give you is that once you think you have the big picture try and relate the equation in the second stanza to it. If you think you have it please pm me before posting anything, I would like to give everyone an opportunity to figure this out. Use this thread to discuss with each other possibilities and you may ask me any questions you have. (I'm not gonna answer everything... what fun would that be? ) But when you think you have it.. please pm me first.

erm, reading all that hurts my eyes @_@
anywho, I saw the translation before (was it here) and the rest of the topic said that it didn't make sense to the Japanese either, so I assume that it has no meaning?
I'm not sure, but you may prove me wrong if you'd like *shrug* _________________

Thats what got me so bent on making sence out of this. It ~does~ have a meaning. Everyone I've explained it to thus far agree with what I think, thats another reason why I wanted to post it. See if anyone had come to my same results. But it takes time to figure out, I would hope everyone would give it their best shot. _________________

This song reminds me of the Beatles song, I am the Walrus. In this song, it's a bunch of gibberish, but there are clues which reveal Paul's mysterious fake death. Maybe Daikenkai doesn't make sense, but it still might have clues within it about something. Something...... _________________

It's a Japanese tongue twister. It's not supposed to mean anything. |

All I can really add to this discussion is that 'Daikenkai' means 'Big Opinion'. _________________

The fact that there are 3 different Japanese alphabets doesn't change the meaning of the words. You can listen to the song and translate it and never have to deal with any of the alphabets. _________________

Quote: | Nonsense language from a rotating head, high tension and a firm beat. | The rotating head could be a record or cd with foren (sp?) words in it.
Quote: | 35 plus 4 divided by 2 | 19.5
Quote: | the partygoers who don't burst open don't know,
This sociable sound demon screwing into an obtuse angle easily,
They dunno where from or where to, but anyway he divided the sound.
| Some how it seems to relate to sex. dont know how.
Quote: | Everyone's winding chatter is a dangling handkerchief. | Could be the party's noise blocked out other sounds.
Quote: | An alteration in the radar and in the nonsense coming over the airwaves | Something could disrupt the music?
Quote: | If you start snorin', your heartbeat that's goin' up as much as your personality changes | If you go to sleep, the party music wakes you up, in shock(i.e. the heart beat) and you would be cranky.
Quote: | Is really greedy, but there's power and land of the priest's staff
And since I was born, I've kept on playin' like this. | No clue.
Quote: | From 3rd street to 4th streeth, from main street to the carnal desires, | The whole street is having a party.
Quote: | Pack up the duties left to you, take it all gently,
Really, you don't have to worry if you extend over to this slow train.
Don Pach Don Pach Don Today, on this Japanese island where they're sexin' it up. | The thing about the sex, again.
Quote: | That time, that time, I give respect, we'll break it all apart, yo, just like this example. | Someone broke up with someone else?
So, I think it is about a party, where a guy meets a girl. They fall in love, but he has had sex so much, she turns him down. That is the example to you to not have prematerial sex? And the 19.5 thing (the equation) could mean he did it with 19 people, but he tried with the last girl (the 0.5) and she turned him down.
I know that is wrong. but I gave it a good try. But it could relate to alieans (sp?)
I dunno. I give.

Yoshi, thanks for making an attempt.. you are kinda wrong.. but good try.
Quote: | 35 plus 4 divided by 2 |
Think of the number segnificance a little more then the actual answer
35 + 4 = 39 / 2
35... 4.... 39... 2 try and look for signifacance in these numbers... if you think your on the right track relate what your thinking to these 4 numbers.. if you've got it they are rather easy.
Quote: | the partygoers who don't burst open don't know,
This sociable sound demon screwing into an obtuse angle easily,
They dunno where from or where to, but anyway he divided the sound. |
Think of the first line as ignorance.. or somthing to that degree
The next line is what really got me on track two words Sociable and Demon. Sound has a rather strong meaning too. (no sorry not sex)
Quote: | An alteration in the radar and in the nonsense coming over the airwaves |
Take this line more literally.
Quote: | Is really greedy, but there's power and land of the priest's staff
And since I was born, I've kept on playin' like this. |
Eh.. this one was even hard for me.. but it makes more sense after you know what the song is about.
Quote: | From 3rd street to 4th streeth, from main street to the carnal desires,
Pack up the duties left to you, take it all gently,
Really, you don't have to worry if you extend over to this slow train.
Don Pach Don Pach Don Today, on this Japanese island where they're sexin' it up. |
The first three lines should be taken a little more literally then the last... the last one is kinda confusing and my friend figured it out first. The wording is very important on the first 1/2.
Quote: | That time, that time, I give respect, we'll break it all apart, yo, just like this example. |
And there is your moral
That should be more then enough to help you guys out. Take a look at this and do somemore thinking I got faith if yall _________________

So Frank, do you have undeniable proof as to what the song is supposed to mean?

This is probably quite a stretch, but it fits better than the other guy's

For some reason, this makes me think of a bad big-name CD. I might be way off here.
Quote: | 35 plus 4 divided by 2, |
I uh, I'll get back to you on that...
Quote: | the partygoers who don't burst open don't know, |
The common peons (or possibly US citizens? More on this later) don't see it coming... (see next line)
Quote: | This sociable sound demon screwing into an obtuse angle easily,
They dunno where from or where to, but anyway he divided the sound. |
Reading this makes my mind flash instantly to the RIAA and their decidedly rediculous practices. Maybe they're making fun of the US...
Quote: | Everyone's winding chatter is a dangling handkerchief. |
All the protesting, petitioning, lobbying, by those who know, isn't effective. (This isn't said in the lyrics, but money and money alone talks.)
Quote: | An alteration in the radar and in the nonsense coming over the airwaves, |
This seems to cover anti-copyright devices pretty well...
Quote: | If you start snorin', your heartbeat that's goin' up as much as your personality changes
Is really greedy |
Sit back and relax, as big business takes over your mind... (it's a similar concept to a semi far-fetched theory I have explaining why the RIAA is so persistent to make sure their music is the only heard. Basically, the theory states that the music has subliminal messages to turn the public into peons that just buys more and more music. Frankly, I wouldn't put it past them considering the unbelievable legislation they're pushing for the purpose of making money.)
Quote: | but there's power and land of the priest's staff
And since I was born, I've kept on playin' like this. |
The indy bands are immortal, and even holy.
Quote: | From 3rd street to 4th streeth, from main street to the carnal desires, |
Essentially, "Everyone who still has free will:" (go back to that theory I have)
Quote: | Pack up the duties left to you, take it all gently,
Really, you don't have to worry if you extend over to this slow train. |
"Pack up your belongings and flee the opression. You have plenty of time."
Quote: | Don Pach Don Pach Don Today, on this Japanese island where they're sexin' it up. |
Don Pach is some sort of significant event (like a holiday). I'm sure of that. The second half I really don't know.
Quote: | That time, that time, I give respect, we'll break it all apart, yo, just like this example. |
A cry of warning directly from the artist, which is, wait for it.... the example. If you don't see what I'm saying: "I wish I didn't sign that contract. Don't be like us." (Yeah, it's quite a stretch.)
I'm probably waaay off. But hell, it was fun |
