Heeeey it's Alpha (s'me, Catgirl Lover)
I'll vouche for that guide being one of the better guides out there. It's not really arcade-exact, using flat buttons instead of dome buttons, but for a VERY inexpensive way, it's the best you can do
If I didn't already have half the dome buttons I need bought from Happcontrols (I'm slowly buying the jumbo dome buttons they have for 25 each), I'd do this method. But, no turning back now _________________

According to some people over at the Bemanistyle forums, the spacing between the buttons is 5.5". This is the same horizontally and vertically. I plan on building my controller using the Betson buttons this winter break, meaning I'm starting in a few days. For some reason, they sent me only 5 of the 9 buttons, so I'll have to hold off on wiring all of them, but I can still get it to the point where as soon as the buttons come, I can connect it all. I hope this turns out well, and I'll be sure to let everyone know. _________________

Sorry, this is copied-and-pasted directly from the controller thread. -_-
And sorry if I'm stepping on any toes here.
Dimensions are arcade-exact, cost is currently $250. It's a little pricy but they're extremely and carefully well-made, can take a lot of abuse, and it's still better than $450. ~_^ I have four red ones and two greens in stock right now. They're extremely sturdy - I would eventually like to take a picture of my dad's pickup truck resting on four Ransai controllers, one under each wheel. I'm pretty sure they can handle it; they're incredibly well-built.
Colors expanding out to blue and yellow soon. For another $60 or so, I can make yours 2.4 GHz wireless. And we're working on making the buttons light up with the help of an AC adapter; we're REALLY close now.
Oh, and I run Ransai along with a friend. ^^ PM me if you're interested. |

Buy AirRandom's controllers. They seem really spiffy.
As for me, I finished my box. I still only have 7 of the 9 buttons, but I have a few pictures of the box at www.geocities.com/woottonparkway/popn.html. Feel free to offer suggestions, etc. Thanks. _________________
