I just got my game a few weeks ago (DDR ROX THE HOUSE!!!) and now that I'm fairly competent at it (6-7 foot songs), I'm planning on starting a school club.

Anyone got any tips? I don't really know what would be popular. I don't think there are any DDR clubs in my area... Anything you think might be useful would be great!

Have sort of a big event where you have a bunch of TV's and pads and give everyone a chance to play. That will help you "recruit" people for your club. Make sure you advertise free food at this event too...that will get a lot more people to come E4.gif .

I would like to start a club on my own, but my school is quite small. How large is your school? I would find that out and that will basically determine how succesful your ddr club will be. Make it a broader subject than just "DDR" Include all Bemani (still it will be about the same).

what i would is send a letter to the principal and tell him that u want to start a DDR club and in your letter include how energitic it is so that maybe you can compete with other clubs (if there are any cold.gif ) then maybe get somebody to sponsor the club if you want to do compititions. or see your counslor and see what they can do about it. And put up posters about the club and set up a meeting outside of the school and then if you can get enough people then maybe you can think about how you can get the principals approval

My school is actually quite large; I think around four thousand kids! And as for making a Bemani club, that would be nice if I knew any other Bemani. I'm still pretty new to the Bemani scene; I think DDR is enough for now E1.gif

Done. I don't think there are any other clubs (yet thumb.gif ) Done. Done. Posters: good idea, I probably should have done that long ago. And any ideas for principals approval are greatly appreciated (if you have any!)

I would also try and have as many diffferent version of the game you could get. I'm not sure if you're planning on having the import versions as well or just the domestic ones. Remember, variety is the key... Well, one of the keys at least. E13.gif Good luck with it.

You don't really need a DDR machine for a DDR club. There is a DDR Club at my school and I'm kinda a member (signed up and stuff but never really go). It's not that great of an idea the way i see it, but tons of people joined it.

I was htinking of starting a DDR Club and getting DDR Machines for our PE class. I was thinking about 3 or 4. Could there be anyone that could sponsor us, or donate (a) machine(s) to our school, unless i write a grant. I have a written thing for the principal.
