Am I the only person that's scared to hell that Konami may or may not make a new DDR? I started playing on a 7th mix, and I just want to see a new evolution of DDR, but I'm fearing that MAX. (period) either ended DDR or that it ended that Max/Extreme evolution. OMG I'M GONNA GO CRAZY IF I DON'T HEAR FROM KONAMI ABOUT A 9TH MIX!!

I don't want it to end like this, not with Extreme. DDR should at least go out with bang, I DON'T WANT IT TO GO AT ALL! I've put so much time, money, and practice into this, I'm gonna kick someone if this is truely the end...

Please...9th Mix...

Don't you think that Extreme, a game that has tons of songs from all of the DDR games made, is "going out with a bang?"

They MAY make an entirely new cabinet or change it in some way, but from what I have seen DDR is done (at least in Japan).

Mixes will still come out in the US for PS2 though. And now X-box. And probably another PC one as well.

Yeah from what I've seen, it looks like a 9th version will not be out anytime soon. It seemed to me anyway that DDR Extreme was an overview of "The Best of DDR" so to speak, and like Spike said, it's "going out with a bang" with alll the songs.

But that will not stop Konami from giving the Americans new stuff for the PS2 or the XBox. riiight.gif

It may be done in Japan, but it certainly isn't finished here. I'm sure a decent amount of older veterans who has been around since 3rd mix has found something new than DDR; of course another decent amount of vets are still sticking around, and at the same time, a newer crowd is being drawn into DDR. At least that's what I've been noticing, so I don't think DDR isn't quite "over" yet, especially here in America.

Does anyone know what the DDR scene is like at Japan? Would you still find an Extreme machine besides the plethora of Bemani machines in arcades?
