Alright, I was playing some DDR with these guys that were sooo much better than me. So they're up here getting 'A's on heavy mode on songs like "Ryhtm and Police" and I step up and get a 'D' or something on light. So I'm getting all these tips and stuff right that are "really simple" and they "can't believe you can't do that." So what are some tips you've heard from better players? -Adam |

I know what you mean, Im not the worst but not the best either. What makes me mad is expert players that will rub it in your face how much better they are. EVERYONE HAS TO START SOMEWHERE! |

When I first started I played with good friends of mine that were wayyyyy better then me.They would give me tips like "Hey those are crossovers you should try not to double step" or "see those? Those are gallop steps."Take advice from everybody unless they are giving bad info. _________________

I started playing next to NOR, so none of you should talk about having to play next to someone good. |

I have a similar problem: I'm the second best in my area, and I can beat almost every song, but my PA leaves something to be desired. As a result, nearly every other player mocks me when I play, and they point out each and every one of my Great Attack moments. Any advice for this problem? _________________

Hmmmmmm well I've been told I'm the best PA'er in my area (Long Beach) and I also get to see the best female Freestyler in the WORLD AS WELL! (Tsinay Butterfly) she works at the only arcade I play at. As well as a close friend of mine.
And the DDR scene here is growing gradually... *sigh* oh well...I hope that it gets bigger.
When I usually play I play alone because I dont want any distractions from the other player because I'm used to playing alone... _________________

I so wish I could beat every song, but I've still got a ways to go. Anyway, if I were that good, here's what I would respond with:
1) Hey, at least I passed the song, right?
2) I'm working on it! I'm not exactly PA.
3) Can YOU pass this song?
4) You want me to make fun of you when you're up here? |

If they are better than you, but they are rude and obnoxious aboot it, ignore them.
If they are better than you and give you advice listen to them. _________________

my PA is pretty average but i can full combo most of the songs in the game and sight read my buttocks off, but when i started i sucked like everyone on light so tell them to get over it and play the game. and if they give u more problems tell them to go play in cali and see how good they are. _________________

I usually try to play with people better than me so they can keep me alive on certain hard songs if I need them to. Gotten all good advice back on light mode. Only met one buttocks hole player. Got him to do Max 300 doubles and laughed at him for failing it so fast. Only advice I ever really give to other players is to not stand in the middle. |

-Ass hole player...
-Possibly better than you...
-Failed.....
Now there's nothing better than that. I'd laugh too. _________________

The only time I've played in the arcade (last summer in Wisconsin Dells) I had a hard time passing 3 and 4 foot songs. I'm surprised that a more experienced played didn't make fun of me or give me tips. Everyone there seemed really nice..and the crowds were very easily pleased seeing as they stayed to watch me get B's and C's on 3 and 4 foot songs. |
