When I go into the control panel and test the converter with a regular PS2 controller (i.e. the one that came with the PS2) it works fine. All the buttons test perfectly, and the image shows up. When I plug in my modded Mad Catz beat pad, however, the image doesn't come up and none of the buttons test. At all. Single OR double. This pad does not utilize lights. What am I doing wrong? _________________

i had the same problem, you probably have the version of the ems usb adaptor that has a glitch, there regular pads work fine, but when you use a dance pad, it does not recognize it. Something to do with the voltage a dance pad require (or something about the led lights)...i suggest going to http://www.levelsix.com , they have an article about it (it's under the news section titled ems ubs adaptor problem solved)...i dunno if that helps...personally, i had to order a new adaptor cause the old one didnt work... |

Check the end of the cable on your dance mat, right at the connector. If the connector has "2903HTC" printed on it, the EMS USB2 doesn't seem to support it. Currently I have no solution, but I've been talking with the manufacturers about it and they've been trying to give some help. Hopefully I can get it to work, I really don't want to buy more dance pads. |

Why do you have a Mad Catz beat pad...My mom got me one of those once and i stood on it once and took it right back to the store. Go buy an official Konami DDR pad they are the best soft pad w/o the 1" foam insert. All I am saying is burn the Mad Catz pad and get a Konami pad _________________

Gee, why didn't I think of that?
(sarchasm)
Obviously everyone would buy an official dance pad if they could. Of course a dance pad straight from Konami is going to be the best. I have mine because it's a lot cheaper and it's the only one I could find without ordering online.
And if you duct tape it to the floor, it works perfectly. |

the Konami pad is like $10 more and it is so much better than that mad catz peice of poopy. Mad catz makes the worst 3rd party proudcts ever...i mean ever...go burn that mad catz pad and buy the konami pad. _________________
