i have DDRMAX2 for the PS2 and i play with the PS2 control. anyway i played TsuGaru heavy and listened to the beat and it went well with the beginning arrows. then i played it on standard and i couldnt hear any of those beats anymore. does this happen just so you can do the song well on each difficulty of play?

I think they may actually take out a few beats....someone else I played with said he thinks they take some lyrics out of certain versions, but IDK it that's true...

Instead of actually playing the song, just listen to it. Sometimes when i listen to songs like So Deep I wonder where some of the beats went because I'm used to hearing my feet hitting the pad.

The beats are always there. You're just not listening for them if you're playing on Standard. WHat if you were on Standard, and someone was on heavy? The beats would still be there, and it would sound the same to you. You wouldn't hear them on Standard.
