okay, so extreme CS (home version) is out in Japan, we get a surprise:
Yes, thats a new Max song (By 2MB, the home song producer for Konami, he made HVAM and the like). Here are some specifics:
Its a 3/9/9/10+/10+.. YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT, ITS 9 FEET ON LIGHT.
It tops off at 600 BPM, and there ARE arrows during that part.
Ive seen a video of Aaron (In Japan) playing it Extra Stage on controller... he fails.. those were heavy steps and THERE ARE CHALLENGE STEPS. _________________

So if it's 6 Beats per second, we could read it as a fast 6/8 time at 120 BPM. |

This song must be impossible to clear. No human alive could clear this song on heavy. You'd have to have the ability to slow down time in order to clear this song. If I thought MAX300, MAXX Unlimited, and The Legend of Max were hard enough, I was wrong. I don't see how anyone can do this song on their feet. _________________

(first, I get to say that this should probably been moved over to Consoles, but nevertheless amazing)
Anyway, I saw the video (and heard one of the Paranoias in the background). Wow....looks pretty hard, but I really do think that this one's possible. Think about how much harder Reverse would be than right-side up as well (those of you who were saying it looks impossible).
With a little (years) of practice (and staring at the stepchart for about a month), this song actually looks do-able. Nothing chaotic about the steps...it's just fast as all hell. We'll be hearing about people "A"ing and even "AA"ing it in just a few months. |

Yeah, I'm sure, with enough time, people will start beating this without too much of a problem, but I still think Konami is beginning to lose touch with reality. I'm just afraid to know what they'd pull out if they made a MaxX Anti-Yasu. _________________

God help the person who has the courage to face the onslaught of 600 BPM quarter notes.
P.S.: Now that Konami has raised the difficulty bar to unrealistic levels, theoretically, what would be some pre requisites in order to even hit the first arrow of this song? |

Eh. If you watch the video, it starts at around 300 or the usual, slows down, and only goes to 600 by the end. Aaron has it pretty easily up until then.
Still, though, the TV might as well reach out and smack the controller out of your hand at that point. _________________

You were right. It looks easy on controller, but how about the pad. That's where the real challenge begins. |

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]
