Listed retail price on konamistyle.com-- 2800 yen

2800 yen= about $23.24

Pretty expensive if you ask me...

BUT WAY WORTH IT!!! E4.gif

That price isn't so bad if you consider that some copies of Smile.DK's albums sell for as much as $35 goog.gif

I'm not kidding. Do a Anazon search for Smile.DK and you will find their Paradise EP available for $29 (and that's only nine songs, most of which appear on Smile's first two albums!)

not to be mean or anything, but if you can't tell the difference between revenG and Be For U/Riyu/Yoma, then there's something seriously wrong with you... laugh.gif

BTW I like revenG too. riiight.gif

I don't think the post about Naoki/RevenG was related to the BeForU ones (although BeForU is a Naoki project, but Naoki has a hand in nearly everything DDR).

I got on to start a question thread about the RevenG persona music style but I guess it fits this thread's theme... Ideally this site really should have an artist information section but when I made the suggestion (in feedback) I was told others suggested it before and it went nowhere.

Basically what I'd like to know is does anybody know groups/artists that make music similar to the RevenG songs (specifically Matsuri Japan, Tsugaru, Sakura, Orion, Exotic Ethnic). Its pretty hard to find that sort of thing online without good kanji reading skills and I'm not quite there yet. I've found a few examples of fusion between traditionnal japanese music and dance/trance but nothing quite the like what I'm looking for. Here's some of them, for reference.

Ryukyu Underground is a little like Orion.78 since its really about Okinawa music, its too weird for me though riiight.gif

Zento, especially the CD performed by Ryo-Ma, is interesting but much more trance than traditionnal. Anyone interested in this stuff ought to check the videos on there. (no English version of the site though frown.gif )

Gocoo and Juno Reactor worked together for a couple of tracks already (the Hotaka single and Teahouse, the background for the Neo/Seraph fight in The Matrix Reloaded). Already being a fan of Juno Reactor I love that stuff but its also quite different.

So if anyone knows of groups that make fusion music LIKE RevenG, I'd love to know!

After writing this I realize it might be a bit off topic but its still the closest match I can find in the forums. There should be a forum dedicated to music, DDR is a music game!

First off, this is the DDR MUSIC thread, not the "Be For U" thread, anyone can post whatever they want here as long as it's related to DDR Music, and it doesn't include MP3s.

Second, if you go to Babel Fish, they can translate web pages for you. Just watch out-- I did it for konamistyle.com, and some of the translating is a little... weird. erm.gif

Third, it's not really off topic at all. You want to know about artists who's music is like revenG's, then where else would that go?

Lastly, I completely agree about the music forums. Do you realize that the sales of some artists' CDs were based solely on the advertising they got from DDR? Almost all of Smile.dk's sales were from DDR fans who loved the song "Butterfly." So they really should make a forum for DDR music artists, like for example, there could be a countdown sticky for when the Be For U CD comes out November 28th! E4.gif Alright, I was joking. But still, great idea.

Also, seeing's how Animelyrics only gives you half of the lyrics to "Dive To the Night", where can I get the full lyrics? Or at least the other half that's on the SHORT version of the song (which is what Animelyrics should have, instead of the other half disturb.gif ) Since this is really starting to bug me, can anyone help?

Yes, everyone fear... the DDR Music Thread has returned from the depths of page seven. laugh.gif

Anyway, i have an important question: my latest craze is Aurora, the artist who did Ordinary World with Naimee Coleman. After doing a bit of searching, I've discovered that she has a CD, or at least a single, out there somewhere. Now for the big question: where can I get that CD? I really want it-- it's like that Smile.dk craze I was in a while back, only not quite as severe. E13.gif

AND, I want the lyrics to the full version of Dive To the Night, kudasai!!! (I know my Japanese sux, so sue me.) riiight.gif

Yes, it's back; everyone fear! The DDR Music thread has returned from page five!!!

I have an important announcement regarding the Be For U CD coming out the 28th. They've listed some of the songs that are going to be on that CD. From what I gather (Babel Fish translations suck so bad disgust.gif) these are the songs that are definitely going to be on it, but more are expected. Anyways, here they are:

1.Sunflower
2.Love2sugar
3.Love*heart*shine
4.Tears
5.True... (BEST SONG EVAR!!! E4.gif )
6.BRE\-/K DOWN!
7.*Shining*
8.Chikara (translated it myself from katakana--I'm so proud!!! E15.gif )

Enjoy! I hope you're looking forward to this as much as I am! (wait what am I saying that's impossible! riiight.gif )

Ooh, looks like a good CD, but which version of true... is it, I wonder? *hopes it's the ~trance sunrise~ mix*

I also wish they would make an Akira Yamaoka CD. ;_;

Do a search on some music retailer, like CDNow or something...

Well, remember, these are just the songs that are guaranteed to be on the CD, not the only ones. They're probably going to have more.

*Changes avatar*

Now I'm all set. E4.gif

We're up to 13 songs, and hopefully more to come! E4.gif

New songs, huh? You know what I'd really like to see? A new song by Yoma Komatsu. Ever Snow is awesome, and she's really talented. She should have her own single, like Riyu.

Anyway... I promised an explanation of my Be For U dream, but I'm too lazy to type it yet, so I'll put it up here later.

Mmm... BeForU album... Are there seriously 13 songs now? That makes me happy. Has anyone found a place to actually buy this yet?

On the topic of Sana... Does Togo Project feat. Sana = L.E.D. feat. Sana = Sana Shintane? I'm not asking if the artists are all the same, just if it's the same Sana.
