I started playing in June and I can usually handle anything 8 and under. I have never passed any Catas, but I'm working on it. And I generally have trouble with 8's in the arcade, on account of doing all my learning and practicing on the home pad and not that much in the arcade. I have the Intec pad and feel like the arrows are just a shade farther apart in the arcade. Enough to throw my rhythm, anyway.
So, yeah, I've progressed, but I haven't had the tutelage of any veterans to help me along. But I do hit the arcade every few weeks.

Get this crap. I've been playing for almost two years and can pass most anything up to 10s. I taught my boyfriend how to play less than two months ago, and already he can AA Holic and most 6-8 footers, and he plays So Deep for fun. Yeah, he amazes me. He can pass most any 9 footer, and I think some 10s. I just don't understand it. _________________

Word. I have been playing less than two months now... Well.. since august 13th or so... and I think I am pretty good. I can pass about every 8 and 9 footer on my first time hearing it. Get A's and AA's on 7 footers all the time... B's and C's on 8s and 9s. I really like the game... I just don't see myself getting better than I am. I got good fast, but I dont seem to be improving past my peak two weeks ago. _________________

I feel so ashamed now... here I am, having played since winter of 5th grade (nigh on three years now), and I've only passed one of the Maxes barless (MaxX Unlimited), never AAA'ed anything, come 5 greats away from AAA'ing my first Heavy (sync), and only passed four 10-footers in total (Sakura, bag [yes, i modded it], MaxX, and max300). Although people say that this is good for a thirteen-year-old, I seriously begin to doubt them after a while since i see all of these 11- and 12-year-olds coming up and saying "Oh, yeah... LoM? What's that? i've only been playing six months and I've already AA'ed that!"
Factor in that I can pass a great many catas on Doubles, and beyond that a bunch of stuff that not even the most "seasoned" players in Anchorage (with the exception of three or four of them) can pass, and I probably still will be nothing new.
Am I missing something, or is everyone better than me? (the facts that all I had to start with was USA and that i spent six months on Beginner Mode have something to do with it, i think ) _________________
Previous record on sync? FC with two greats. I won't rest or quit until I AAA it. Or pass Slam Crazy. Whichever becomes apparent first. |

well... that wasted 5.9 months of your first time... and for a 13 year old, i guess ur good... how tall are you? i'm 5'8, and 180 lbs... tall ppl seem to be able to play better... dont' know why... maybe lenky legs = faster???
i guess, i just progressed faster... i finished a 4 footer, and moved right up to 5, then to 6... then i had some probs, so i decided to stay with 5 for about a week... then went to 6, and found it easier |

I was going catas in 3 months, pies in 6.5. But then everyone goes at their own pace. Ive seen people fail beginner mode after 10 songs and I have seen people pass 5 footers their first try. _________________
