#9 was 'Catastrophic,' and the name for a 10-footer never materialized. _________________

And that's why there isn't a name for 10 footers. Because Konami stopped using them by the time the 10's came out. _________________

My friend calls 10-footers "pie", for some strange reason that he says is a long story from a while ago. _________________

I also call 10's pies. Cause they be easier then pie and it gives you a reason to buy and consume a pie after playing DDR LOL. _________________

I heard that 7-footers were once called "Hero", and that the name was later changed to "Paramount".
How did people learn those difficulty names back then? Were the names written on the song selection screen? Anyone knows? I wouldn't know, since I never played anything older than 7th mix. |

This also goes to the "3rd mix" comment above.
As you might be able to guess, cause I think my location says it, I'm an Irish user.
This means I was weaned on the "EuroMix", a terribly basic version a little like the 3rd mix. However, no DDR has the same difficulty selection system as a EuroMix. (I'm writing a web-page about this, look for it in the future!)
Now, the EuroMix 2 works a look a lot like Extreme and Maxx2, but it still ahs no options menu and a completely different difficulty selection. Of course, it doesn't give the written difficulties so I don't know 10.
And if you're wondering why I did this, it's for the existing part of my website. Why not visit: adder.freehosting.net/ddr/main.html |

Seriously, if I ever hear anyone call a 9 foot song a "cata," I'm going to punch them in the face. Thankfully this has never happened.
THEY ARE 9 FOOT SONGS, NOT CATAS. _________________

"So Syxx, yesterday I beat like 15 catas. Do you like to play catas. I sure do. Especially in a row with no break." *waits in anticipation to be punched in the proverbial face*
From a linguists perspective (that would be me) Cata is easier to say then 9 footer. Therefore cata will come out more often if a person who has a choice between the two uses both regularly. (end random wtf is cidarom ranting about rant) _________________
