Actually, if you buy it @ Fry's, I believe they're giving them out with a purchase of MAX2.

That's the reason why I did not get Max 2 yet. I bought the Max the day it came out at EB and then, a few weeks later, Toys R Us gave away the Max soundtrack sampler with the purchase. So, I'm waiting until Best Buy or TRU starts that up and then I'm going to get Max 2. E1.gif

AFAIK, Fry's is the only distributor of the CDs. For your sake, I hope that ain't the case. *heh*

OH WHAT THE FCUK!

Now, if I had known about this sometime before I had owned the game long enough to unlock everything I would have surely cancelled my pre-order at Gamestop and moved it to Fry's. I know Fry's is halfway across the country for me and that would mean that I'd have to wait an extra day or two to get the game BUT

Fry's has an exclusive V-RARE!

Which makes all the difference in the world. We knew about the V-Rare #1 at TRU before the game shipped, right? So why didn't I find out about this until now? Now its gonna cost me some unknown amount of money to find one on Ebay. frown.gif

Meh.

I said this back when V-Rare5 came out and I'll say it again...Kind Lady does not need to be remixed into a trance song...at all. In fact, I'll go so far as to say that the fewer songs that get trance remixes, the better off the world will be.

Most of these are just game version songs anyway...I'd much rather see exclusive remixes or long versions...I love the Do It Right(Harmonized 2 Step) long ver... That was the only song on V-Rare5 I really liked and from the looks of it, the only thing I'd really like on this CD too.

I'd include Tomorrow Perfume in that statement, but there's absolutely no excuse not to include the amazing 6 minute version from the IIDX 6th Style OST.

I have 2 copies actually Mel. I got one thursday at Fry's when they had a stack just sitting there so I grabbed one, walked to the exit and asked the guy there if I can take it since it said "Not for resale" and he said sure! If you haven't read this thread yet http://www.ddrfreak.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=56915&start=40 then just to let everyone know, all the music from the V-Rare USA Max 2 is on DDRFreak radio!

After listening to it I can honestly say without a shadow of a doubt that "I need you" is now my favorite DDR song of all time. Beating out So in Love, My Fire, Smoke, and So Deep. Oh, and that "New age" version of I feel sounds like something you would hear in a foreplay/sex scene in one of those Skinamax B movies. E9.gif

I got a the just the game instead of the bundle because I wasn't sure if the bndle came with the 'V-Rare' CD. I didn't know it was V-Rare though. Since I like listening to DDR music and the CD came free with the purchase of the game and I already have a dance pad, I just got the game instead of the bundle. Well, it isn't until I get home and log onto DDR Freak that I learn that the CD is a 'V-Rare' CD. Yay isn't that great I got one! Now if I only knew the significance or meaning of this...

BTW, the tracks rock (except for the Do It Right [80's Electro Mix])!

My V-Rare Soundtrack came with my DDR Max 2 game, but it was called a Music Sampler. erm.gif I just wanna make sure that I'm on the same page as all you guys.

~ "Kind Lady -Future Trance Mix-" is an awesome song. I don't like the original, but the Trance Remix made it sound better. Personally, I think Trance makes every original sound better.

~ I also liked the "Look To The Sky -Trance Extended Mix- (See? Trance this, Trance that!) was a good song, too.

Is that mix of Bad Routine the original IIDX one? Because the time of 2:11 would be a time way longer than the DDRUSA edit.

Interesting collectors item... like v-rare 5 without midnite blaze and plus a few extra random things.

It's a bummer there couldn't be a couple fun USA exclusive things on it though such as.... oh... i don't know.... THE LESSON 2 SONG E7.gif

Of course, I'd just love it if they'd release an official in-stores soundtrack someday. Heck, if a game like Gran Turismo can have a somewhat successful soundtrack in stores....

Yes you are on the same page as the rest of us. If you look on the back of the sleeve it came in you will see, in small print, V-Rare Max 2 USA or something like that. I can't remember exactly how it's worded but I do know for a fact the term"V-Rare" is there.
