Considering a metal pad...

Ok my stupid soft pads are starting to give out and give me the magical boo's for no reason... so reight now im thinkin of geting a metal pad.. so can some people please give me some ideas on what kind of metal pad is the best... preferably one thats less then 150... all i know is the colbalt flux ones are really good correct?? but hey i dont got 300 dollars a pop to pull out of my buttocks for those...

I've built a metal pad using ddrhomepad's design, and if you have the know-how, it costs about $125 and works really well. It took me and a friend (I'm relatively useless with power tools) about 15 hours to make, beginning to end.

But after that, I bought a Cobalt Flux, and it blows all other pads away. If you're not making a pad, save your pennies and make the CF yours.

I'll be getting a metal platform in about a week and a half that I've been told is really nice. If it does indeed rock, I'll be sure to first buy another (before the price goes up?), then tell everyone about it so they can get their own.
