Hello everybody. My name is Luis and I'm 31 years old, which I think makes me part of a minority here

Anyway, I started playing DDR about 2 weeks ago, and I have a funny story about it.

When I first saw a DDR machine a couple years ago, I said it was a stupid game which was only created to: a) allow people to make a fool of themselves in public, and b) create an awful lot of noise due to the constant stomping. I never quite understood why people were so attracted to this game. I guess it was a typical old-school gamer "back in my day, we didn't need no stinkin' dancepads" aversion to a new gaming concept.

Then, approximately 2 months ago, guess what was shipped to the arcade I work in? A brand new 3rd Mix machine, and an Extreme upgrade kit. Yours truly, being the assistant manager (and the most tech-savvy of the employees) assembled the machine, installed the update, and fired it up. The first time I played, it was a complete disaster, as you would naturally expect, and I said "this thing is definitely not for me".

Well, guess what? I started to like the music, and two weeks ago, I decided to give DDR another try. This time I was hooked instantly. I spent several days in Beginner mode to loosen up and reduce my clumsiness, then last week I advanced to Light mode. I'm still a little uncoordinated, but hey, practice makes perfect, right?

Hello my name is mike and im 16. Been playing ddr for about 6 months now. Got introduced by a ddr machine at disneyquest(i live n orlando).

My technical level is ok as i have recently completed passing every song on "Light" in DDRMAX. But thats it.
Favorite song? Max 300, purely because its so fast.

My name is Jim and I first saw ddr on a cruise ship that i was on about a year ago
I was hooked after my first game. I got the game for ps and played nonstop every day for about 6 months. I then found out about this site and found a drr machine near me ( I live near philadelphia)
I now play at exton mall and can do most 8 and 9 foot songs

I just started playing DDR this week, and I'm hooked *maybe a bit too much, for the past 3-4 days i've been waking up at 8 am just so i could play DDR*

Sup people,

My name isn't important, but you can know I'm 15. I just want to mark my entrance into the world of DDR. I started playing one week ago on an Extreme machine at the local arcade. I've learned much about DDR from the local players, and they tell me I'm progressing qucikly. I can AA most Light songs now, and working on passing some harder songs on Standard. I wish they had Oni courses on Light. Anyways, I'm waiting for the release of DDRMAX2, and they second it's available, I plan to have it.

Hi this is Dispassionate from Manila, Philippines. I played the 3rd and 4th mix back when it was hot in the PS. Didn't really get to Maniac level, and then I stopped. Now I'm back with Extreme being the newest thing here... so I made a comeback and now I'm hooked again!

Finally finishing 7 and 8 footers on maniac, and my first cata 2 days ago... I think it's electroworld or something... too bad there are only a few players left where I play to help me out...

That and balut is good.

Well hello all. Thought I stop by here since i joined recently. Um, I'm from Oklahoma, and I would say, I started really playing like 3 or 4 months ago.
For awhile, my crew would go play, but for some reason I would never play. Until one day, a tthe arcade, there was no one there, so I decied to hop on. I was playing on Standard. haha smart move huh, starting off on standard? While that made me actually fall off the pad, and since then I have been playing. I guess falling off, gave me a mission, to never fall off again? I would say I've gotten better. I'm currently working on Dj Amuro - A on Heavy, I tried that the last time, and failed wheni had 4 steps left. Meh, evil.

Hi all!

31, male, and from Chattanooga, TN(home to a sole 4th Mix-Plus arcade machine); true beginner at the DDR series in every sense of the word despite being a big fan of the soundtracks since starting to buy them in 2001(Now have all of them as well as a few DanceMania soundtracks).

I wish I could play better(even going as far as owning Konamix and DDRMax[PS2], and getting a dancepad), but...having social anxiety disorder doesnt help...guess I could be more coordinated too, heh....

Nonetheless, I hope to graduate from the 1 and 2 footers that are giving me all I can handle now, and soon!
