Hullo there!

To those who have played more than DDR Konamix, I'm seeking some help...

I'm really digging a version of AM-3P that was in the 2nd mix of DDR (Also in the 2nd DDR AMV Project) but don't know if it was in any other versions of DDR. Konamix's version is different and although good, not the same... Does anyone know? I'm trying to decide whether to get MAX or not based on this (I really wanna do this song! Yergh!)

Thanks.

Hahah the AM-3P you're talking about from 2nd Mix is the actual original AM-3P... yes, it's on MAX. E1.gif

AM-3P orig. was from 2nd mix... it's on DDR (for the ps1) and DDRMAX.
DDR Konamix has the 303 bassmix which does pwn. The beginning is cool, altho at the arcades, I can't seem to hear it. But it's still awesome.
Also, there is the oni remix which is pretty cool.
I <3 AM-3P

And as people so often complain about in the Max2 thread, apparently the original AM-3P is returning AGAIN for Max2 US... I'm happy, AM-3P is one of my favorite songs on DDR.

AM-3P East Mix was never on Konamix. You're thinking of 303 Bass Mix. I'm sure that East Mix will make an appearance on DDRMAX2 USA.

You mean AM-3P AM EAST mix.

Bass mix is the one that was on Konamix.

Don't get DDR MAX just for one song.

Get it, because that game is cool. And by cool I mean totally sweet!!!

Seriously, if you have a PS2, you should really pick it up.

Original = 2nd
303 bass mix = konamix
am east mix = max2 and extreme.

Got to say that out of all of them, the AM east mix is the best.

However, i have love for the original, as it is one of the 2 songs i can easily SDG E1.gif

AM East Mix owns all others, although the original is awesome too. I can get 8 on East mix and 2 on the original. like 5 on bass mix, but i hate that song. E10.gif Bass mix sounds like a remix someone did in 3 minutes. that's what i think anyway.

Bow to the best song on 2nd mix. I still think its a bit better than 303 or AM East. It goes to show, the orginals still pwn the sequels.

No, the DC version had AM-3P. I own the game and I used to play that song all the time. It wasn't any sorta remix either, it was the original. Stop spreading evil rumours, that's MY job. Hey, did you hear about 9th Mix? It's gonna have.....

Out of all the DDR songs, I think AM-3P is the only one that survives until today and sounds just as good as years before. Almost everything else died out (B2U, DR, B4U...), but AM-3P stays strong. I mean, there's quite a bunch from 3rd Mix that made it (Afronova and etc.), but something as old as 2nd Mix? I think the only song that came close is Butterfly, but I hate the song to its guts, so the "longest standing classic" song really has to go to AM-3P.

That's for several reasons. For one, the music itself is very cool and unique. Not many songs in DDR song like it... unlike half of the licenses and so many of the Naoki stuff. Also, before Max2 (unless you count Konamix), there had only ever been ONE AM-3P. How many BXUs were there? 3 (B2U, B2U OG, B4U).

AM-3P as far as I remember, wasn't very overplayed past 2nd mix, because it was overshadowed by the big fast and difficult 9s of 3rd (DR, Afronova, Dead End, etc). Long live AM-3P, my favorite song in DDR.

I agree. Listening to AM-3P... it just doesn't sound 'old' when compared to the other songs from the earlier mixes.
