I think it's a guy/girl game, but I saw this one girl who couldn't tell the left arrow from the plate of metal, seriously. and she was like 16-17. It was probably her first time, but PLEASE! LEFT ARROW AND METAL PLATE AREN'T THE SAME THING!! _________________

I always think its cool seeing couples play DDR. But mostly guys play the game from what I've seen, unless you're at a beach arcade. |

Actually, I like DDR and House of the Dead
You do see more guys playing, but they ARE at arcades more....
I recently got a few of my friends (girls) into DDR, and now they play with me when I go to the arcade.

I've gone to the arcades a bunch of times within the past month and only once have I seen regular girl players other than myself and my friends (Not the ones that play light (or beginner, depending on the machine), fail, then leave).
I think that the game is for everyone, but we need more DDRGirls around here.... |

That'd be me , Rychan, and Sister Ray. I think guys naturaly are better at it than girls, but girls are pulling on up there. GO US! It's also because I don't ever see too many girls in an arcade, most girls just aren't into gaming. I do know a few girls who play at home, but never at the arcade. Girls can be stupid about getting sweaty and jumping up and down in front of mass quanties of people(mostly guys). I cant see why though.... |
another reason why sum girls don't play cuz most em wear those small tops and if they play then u know wat happens *bounce* *bounce* BAM der out!! |

I can hand some guys their asses on a plate, I'm proud to say. Not all of 'em, mind you, but some of em. So can my little sister, actually. She's 10, and she came just short of the money in a recent tourney.
I don't give a crap about getting sweaty, though, It's normal, even though many people are somewhat put off by it... *leer* I'm gonna drip on you!!! Rawr! Wonder why... _________________

well i think its both guys and girls game. But mostly guys play. And whats with that? I really dont get it. But most girls that play are really good and could probly compare with the best guys there are. GIRLS KICK @$$.
So this is a game for both genders. _________________

Yeah, game for everyone, but in my area, a fairly large amount girls play DDR. While most play at a more casual (read: Standard) level, there's this one girl who is probably 3rd/4th best in town. I am fairly sure she has a few AAAs, and can SDG quite a bit. Most of the other girls play at a level where a goal is to pass Exotic Ethnic, not SDG it. But at the last 2 tourneys I entered, I was knocked out by girls who were just as good as me (which isn't saying much) in very close games. |

Where I live it's a reversal of what most of you are saying - in that it's far and away girls who play. Unfortunately they're children (~14-yrs), and scumbags (inner-city smoking/shouting/screaming types). I don't know if y'all have trouble with types like that elsewhere.
Of course DDR is for any and all who want to play - it's just a question of the situation as to who actually plays your local machine. _________________

wow..thats like the most degrating post i seen in 938309284 years.
Well I can almost pass "Max 300" and i am a girl. Saenoda, a member of team seattle, like one of the best ddr teams in washington is pretty good. Princess D, a oregon DDRer is pretty good too. So is Flotastic, Introspectivley...and yes, they are all female. When you said "GIRLZ SUCK TA VIDO GAMES" that that was very degrading of you to say because its putting down a group of people and there are many gamer girls. By the way, you may want to edit your post becasue there are alot grammer and spelling errors |
OMG, you actually tried analyzing that garbage? hehehe
Seriously though, girls who play DDR are cool in my book.
Well, most of them are. _________________

How about this then: Any woman is just has just as much ablity to be good at DDR as any guy, but because you see so few women DDR players, you also see very few good players. In the same way that not every guy is really really good, neither are all the women.
My hypothisis (and I hope to prove or disprove this someday) that if you took a survey of DDR players and then made a bell curve of ablitity vs gender the curves would be aproximately the same shape, even though there would be 10x or so fewer women in the curve. |
