Some friends and I were trying to go for a routine, complete with a tag-out during the freeze. _________________

True story: 2 days ago, I bought a cheap-ass pair of shoes to replace my old ratty pair. They fit fine in the store, good grip and all. Then I went to work in them, and they didn't grip too well on the greasy floor.
I went and bought a second, more expensive pair of shoes. They offered more support too. I went to play DDR in them. It was okay. Then, I decided to try on that cheaper pair I first bought, and played a few songs in them. They gripped the mat beautifully (even though they slip around at work) and I set two new records that night.
I returned the more expensive pair of shoes earlier today. |

when you treat the arcade machine as it were yours (e.g. cleaning it and making sure people don't rape your favorite bar) |

10. You bring a change of t-shirt to the arcade so you don't stink of sweat for the rest of the day (occasionally guilty)
9. You choose songs you don't like, of musical styles you would like to see exterminated, simply because you haven't beaten those songs yet (pretty guilty).
8. You have modded your own pad (obvious one I know, but still a major sign) (PS - guilty)
7. You have to use all your willpower to resist playing, even though (due to a seperate injury) the doctor has told you to on NO ACCOUNT play for a while (guilty)
6. You have played (and won!) on crutches. (guilty!)
[6b. Security have warned you not to play on crutches (guilty)]
5. You find this strip real cool (very guilty)
http://10kcommotion.com/
4. You have convinced yourself of completely fictitious reasons to go to town, just to play DDR (guilty - though now I don't bother with excuses anymore)
3. You couldn't sleep once, so got up, got dressed, cycled to arcade and played (guilty, and yes I found that the adrenaline really doesn't help with the sleeping)
2. The crowd usually multiplies by 2x or 3x when you play (guilty baby!)
1. You're still reading this list (Haha! You're guilty!) _________________

You have a dedicated DDR bag with your water, shoes, tokens, song list and memory card... with hand embroidered arrows on the side. (man, I suck at embroidery.) |

You know you're too obsessed when you spend two days at the library (4 hrs/day) to find out why you see arrows when you're done playing.
yes, I'm guilty of that, and yes, expect to see a post explaining the arrows right after I post this. |

Hmm... stuff I'm guilty of...
-munching on food around a ddr machine
-skipping homework assignments to prepare for a ddr tournament (they weren't really important ones, though)
-buying shoes appropriate for ddr (certain shoes for certian arcades depending on how weird the pads are)
-being kicked out for "not wearing proper attire while playing ddr" (i almost started a lawsuit over that and then they let me wear tanktops ^.^)
-i do bring other clothes with me to play ddr (full set - jeans and top, sometimes other stuff)
-i own a modded pad.. two of them...
-i play when i'm ill for some reason (although i tend to do my absolute best when recovering from bronchitis)
-crowd has multiplied even with my crappy playing (not so horrid anymore)
- <3 the machine!!!!
-ddr is aerobic excersise(spelling!) and regular dance (ballet) is anaerobic... and dance teacher says i have to have 3 hours of aerobic stuff a week... get the picture? ^.^
-i can sing along to most of the songs (learning breakdown at the moment)
-i have a ton of ddr music on my computers (laptop in my car fo rmusic)
I'm sure that there are plenty more of my guiltiness -.- hehe!
-your nicknames start to have "blah blah blah" mix on the end of them
-you own more DDR home versions than any other video game
-you host ddr tournaments and have gatherings for it before and after at your own house (tyger...)
-you have a few random piles/stacks/bags of tokens for different arcades sitting at your house
-you play ddr in gym class at school (guilty)
-your school now has a ddr machine on your request
I might think of more. ^.^ _________________

How many people use DDR as a verb now?
For instance instead of saying "I'm goint to go play DDR for a bit" you say "I'm gonna go DDR".
I'm guilty of:
-The above DDR verb thingy
-Blowing off dates to play DDR
-Skipping meals to go play DDR
-Studying song lists to memorize arrows
-When my ex-girlfriend wanted some action I actually pcitured DDR arrows in my head and played Dynamite Rave all the way through to keep it down.
-Playing DDR for five hours straight (well not straight but I never left the side of the machine and I played about every other turn) at my senior classes all night party
-Almost everything else that has been posted on this site I have done at one time or another. _________________

Eh, when I first heard of Freckles I thought it was a song I never thought of like listening to at all. Now, it's become one of my favorite songs and it isn't annoying. Anyways another sign of you taking DDR too seriously is when you concentrate so much on getting a AA/AAA, time will come when you will get them....not guaranteed! _________________
