Hmmmm....lets see.
I bought a PS2: $200.00
Konamix: $45.00
Disney Mix: $60.00
DDRMAX: $50.00
DDR: $45.00
2 Soft Pads: $55.00
2 Hard Pads: $300.00
A LOT of Duct Tape: $20.00
Arcade money: About $100.00
But the happiness and joy that DDR gives me: Priceless
Please, no flames about my lame credit card commerical rip-off! But honestly, that is money well spent, I'm in better shape, I've lost weight, I'm a happier person, and I'm not on drugs! Yes, DDR is my anti-drug! Thank God for DDR! _________________

Soft pad and 1st US mix: $55
PS2: $300
DDRMAX: $50
Parts for and time it took to build my own hard pad: $175 and 6 weeks
Memory cards for Extreme and Max2: $20
trip to DBA 2 weeks ago: $180
Now for the money on the machines.
I figure I've been playing for a little under 2 years. 92 weeks. Assuming I spend an average of $12 per week on the machines, that adds up to $1,104.
Grand Total: $1884
Good grief... o_O _________________

To people that posted: I'm not sure if your PS2 should count since you (probably) don't use it only for DDR, but I guess it works. _________________

I've probably spent upwards of $5000 or so over the last 4 years and 10 months. A large portion of that is gas money or train fare just to get to the arcade. _________________

Playstation games, soundtracks, cheap mats, LOTS of tokens, and many 40-mile trips to play once or twice a week... About $3000
Got 7th Mix locally now and $35 of tokens (package deal) lasts me about two or three weeks. |
