if theres an extreme nearby id much rather have 4th+ and extreme than 5th and extreme. my fire challenge steps simply own all
only song id wind up missing would be radical faith - extreme has the rest of the good songs on 5th (and remember you ) |

5th mix was one of my personal favorites... Our local nickelcade just got a 2nd DDR machine and we currently have an Extreme and a 7th Mix, but we are changing the 7th Mix to a 5th. And I do believe that Extreme + 5th = Serious DDR fun. |

Hmm. I will say that Extreme has a LOT of good songs. That being said, I would trade every game in the arcade, including Extreme, for a 5th Mix. I grew up on it and I miss it terribly. When you look at the list of songs that haven't been seen since 5th, a tear comes to your eye. What I would give to try Swing It on Maniac. _________________

i agree with altinure. with extreme out i still find myself playing 5th mix more than extreme. its true extreme songs are hard but some songs are just not fun to play. fun=uber hard steps just doesnt do it for meeh. 5th mix songs had steps that were fun and equally hard to beat. i understand that as new mixes are updated ,songs get progressively harder but seriously u dont need arrows to fall on evry beat in the song. quality over quantity? |

I have a 5th nearby my house! ......Problem is, it's inside this place called "Kid's Quest" and only kids 12 and under can enter it. And guess what else? Kid's Quest is in a casino, and this casino of course has an arcade too for ALL ages...but the arcade does not have any DDR or any kind of Bemani at all but...a PIU! God, it pisses me off so much. Yes 5th mix arcade was truly one of the greats. Just lookin at those good ol' songs Master of Darkness pointed out make me wanna cry. _________________

I definitely like 5th, but not more than extreme. They both have their strong points; extreme has good onis and nonstops, 5th has great songs.
I think the perfect arcade would have 3rd korean, 4th+, 5th, 7th, and extreme. |

Ive got a question, what is missing from Extreme that was in MAX2. I could care less about the whistle song.
Anyway I regularly get to play on a 5th mx and an Extreme. 5th mix gets old real fast for me. Extreme has good song for me. Im just really tired of 5th I guess. _________________

By the way Hwguy, the songs you listed blow nuts. That's another reason why 5th is good, it left out a lot of s'hit songs.

How could you possibly forget Drifting Away
I love that song
I'm pretty sure there's more than those 5 (+whistle song) but I'm too tired to sit and think of them right now. |
