How lond did it take you to get to Heavy?

it took me 3 weeks to get to heavy. My first song was Synchronized love, passed it with an A.

three weeks before i could beat 6-7 footers but now i play on standard cause i work like this i must A every song on light mode before going on to standard mode i have done that now i have to A every song on standard mode before moving on to heavy mode and i have like 10 songs left to A on standard max 300 ...

Boy, you people must play waaay too much to do heavy in a matter of weeks.

It took me about 3 months to beat the song "Head" on our 3rd mix. Man, was that song tiring.

Keep in mind that I advanced faster than most people at our arcade too.

My very first heavy was cutie chaser the 5 footer.Then it was Let's Groove.Now I am trying to AA songs like Kind Lady,Sky High,and other easy heavy.Also,I play after I get off work,so usally around 6-8 hours a day.Depending on my hours.

After 5 or 6 weeks of playing once or twice a week in the arcade, when I was at a 4-6 foot level, I bought Konamix and a soft pad (DPR2

) and after a couple days I started to pass easy Maniac songs like Higher and Think Ya Better D. I'm not sure if my first Maniac song was Higher at home or Pink Dinosaur in the arcade, but I remember it took about 5 or 6 weeks to start passing Maniac/Heavy songs.

Well it took me like 4 months when I did Kick The Can Maniac. I got a friedn only 1 month and already AAA'd Pop 4 normal....Already AA like 9 footers and some other songs.....

did you guys all have friends who played DDR????

when i first started, i knew nobody who played. it took me about a month and a half to two months to beat..... HAVE YOU NEVER BEEN MELLOW!! but i have friends now who have grown to like ddr, and it only took them about 2 weeks to get to heavy. WHY IS THAT?!?!?!?

It took me awhile, I don't remember how long. But I was passing most Light songs, Standard songs, before making it on Heavy.

It took me about four months to go from Basic to Trick because I was always so scared of failing.

But after that, it was only another month to go to Maniac.

It took me 3 months to get to Maniac, the first song was November,20 I believe, back then I played about once a week and it wsant even every week, didnt have a local arcade back then

I've only been able to pass a few of the simplest of the songs on Heavy/Maniac. I've been playing for just over 3 weeks, but I'm really still just working on 6 and 7 footers on Standard/Trick. (I think from here, it's going to take me a lot longer to get better, simply because I need to get myself into better shape.)

The friend of mine who got me into DDR has been playing for a little under 2 months and he's now pretty much playing only on Heavy/Maniac mode.

It took me about 5 days before I tried Heavy. I stayed on the easy stuff for a while, so now I play catas. Mostly Standard and easy Heavy, but catas now and then.

It took me a little while because I stuck with Basic and wanted to beat every song on 3rd mix before I moved on. It got repetitive I found, because when I finally did step up to trick that was simple, and when I played SSR for the first time I beat all 3 songs in the set without struggling to pass. I think it was Luv To Me, Keep On Movin', and Wonderland. Took me 2 months.
