I'm a BIG fan of dance maniax and being there is no DMX for the home players, I was wondering how Para Para Paradise is. riiight.gif

It looks a lot like DMX (obviously the gameplay is not the same) and I wanted to know if it "feels" similar to DMX or if it feels better biggrin.gif

and could I get a song list for the home version?

well it can be played similer to dance freaks(dance maniax korean version that we have in a local mall) i actually found PPP to be a little more enjoyable then DMX, and less physically demanding then DDR, i am importing the PS2 version and the IR sensors. (same type that DMX uses.)

so insted of going over and under you just go over
it also has stop arrows happy.gif before DDR ever did.

ok the layout.

there are five sensors in front of you you have to use movments to hit the sensor when the arrows line up

arrow for ppp ---->

also a difrence is your meter insted of a 3D pie graph you got this

it works just like a DDR bar but slightly diffrent.

so when it comes to gether you get a craze that swept japan and is now hitting the states.

*note i dont have the game yet i just have one controler comming in the mail. i still need a way to play imports so i am basing this off of the mix that they had at Sakura Con when i went there. PPP V2
the PS2 game has all songs from PPPv1 - V1 Plus 47 songs total

music list - http://www.konamijpn.com/products/parapara/list.html

If you want to play the freestyle mode, which is the closest to DMX, then PPP will be fine. If you want to only do the routines then save your money and download some videos instead.

I have only played DMX a few times and never really got into it but from what I remember the gameplay was kinda fast and frantic which is just how freestyle mode is.

I can say you will have no problems with the sensors, they are the best home bemani controller available, depending on your height you won't even have to mess with the settings.

Bad thing is I'm with my cousin in minnesota so I cant play it for a month! E2.gif (didnt want to get it shipped I cant risk ruining it)

If you really want to do ParaPara and not really do freestyle mode then save yourself a lot of money and buy the VCD's instead. They have the routines and music on them and are relatively inexpensive (all the vcd's - 1-7- were on yesasia a few weeks ago and were abuot 20 a piece) and they will help you to do the real thing.

Oh, and dont buy ParaParaPanic. Its crappy.
