Tracker for bracket 6 isn't up. If DDRei is down, check DDRManiaX for links to download.

It's indeed Track 1 of Killer Kuts, the remake of B. Orchid's theme. Track 30, Humiliation, was one of the songs I had considered and passed up, so I was pleasantly surprised that KI Feeling was one of the TM entries, and even more so when I found out that it was by Plaguefox and is very nicely done.

Thank you thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed KI Feeling. E1.gif

Well, well, well. It's that time again - time to crack some heads, pity some fools, and hand out some BaldOne awards! You know you want it!

Biggest Surprise - Rock Your Body
Thus far in this TournaMix, experience has taught us that songs that have been on Top 40 charts have not gotten great DWI treatments - until now. Great care has gone into this one, and it shows.

Biggest Letdown - Beat Box
JS16: Good.
Monotonous songs: Bad.
Two and a half minute monotonous songs: Really bad.
A 2 1/2 minute monotonous song by JS16: Still bad, unfortunately.

Most Overrated .dwi - Ika Uka (e=mc² Mix)
Don't get me wrong - this one's good. It's just that with the Dancemania advantage, I thought it was a little lacking. Didn't blow me away like the some of the other Dancemania entries have.

Most Underrated .dwi - Capital
Maybe it's getting the backlash from Trance Bracket 5, but this one is pretty damn good. This one is a winner in my book.

Most Ignored .dwi - I Want U
I guess if you have a Chicken Run background, it scares people away. It's very much worth the play, though.

Best .dwi You Didn't Want to Play - (What else?) Rock Your Body
Repeat after me: I am still cool if I like this entry. I am no less of a man for liking this entry. I'm comfortable enough in my masculenity to admit that I like this entry.

Most Needed Speed Adjustment - I Want U
A double up would've been nice. Not just for the arrow cluster, but because the song is energenic enough to pull off 237 BPM.

Worst Foot Rating - Right Type of Mood - Challenge (27)
You've GOTTA be kidding me! That's a 20, 21 tops!

BaldOne's Picks for the Finals:
4/6 last week; 22/30 [73%] overall

In alphabetical order
Blazin' Beat (MORE than makes up for Killing My Love and Strike On!)
Fire (IIDX gets some love from the voting public)
Happy Hopper (Tetris gets some love from the voting public... voting public has lots of love to give)
Ika Uka (e=mc² Mix) (Another mc² mix gets in... does that make it mc^4?)
Kiss Kiss (Short Radio Edit) (So buttery good, it'll give you a heart attack)
Never Gonna Come Back Down (To paraphrase Montell Jordan, This is how you do it!)

Couldn't agree with you more. I was worried at first, but it's got great energy and repeat playability.

It's kind of a shame that only six entries from this bracket will move on; there were many more decent DWIs in this set than there were in Bracket 5, and I wish we could have "borrowed" a spot or two from B5. This is simply a much stronger set, although I'm still crossing my fingers for Black Cat from B4 to go all the way...

My girlfriend made Love Tropicana. I am still not a fan of the 8th notes in the freeze arrow, but it's still doable (LTTS trance mix).

Eh, it seemed paddable enough for me, the 1/8th on the freezes didnt seem any harder than say Tears.

Pertaining to bracket 7: The Legend of Art owns your soul for free. Download and play now! (the bg and movie are awesome laugh.gif)

Art wasn't as good as I was hoping.

But just like everyone voting for pack 7 being the best, last week. Art will win due to its stupidity.

Bracket 7 is the absolute worst of them all. So many songs that made me want to either sleep or cry. I kept all of three songs, and one of them won't be allowed to continue since it's Sivus's.

And you're right, Phrek. ART will win simply b/c there will be enough fucking morons who vote for it. What a joke. They don't even care about what the point of TournaMix was in the first place....

I'm not gonna get into an argument over Art purely because I know I'm biased (being friends with both NMR and Damien and I know they spent an awful lot of time on it) But this is how I see it. People will vote for Art because it's Art. People will vote for neoMAX because it's a Max song. I don't think either of them should win, but both are going to come pretty damned high because of what they are.

Boomerang impressed me, as did the one with party in the title and the one that was pretending to be So Deep in its oni steps *has no memory* riiight.gif

But yeah. Now I'm starting to wonder just how far down the final group I'm going to come laugh.gif

Then we can be done >_<

Not everyone sent in. I think they only got 174 entries altogether, hence why Sivus entered one he'd done happy.gif

But yeah. Looking forward to the finals E4.gif

Same here!! riiight.gif

Honestly, I have very low expectations for my entry during the final rounds... at least I have the satisfaction that I did well in a competitive bracket E15.gif .

Yep; same here and same here riiight.gif I'm rather content that I got through to the final, and I'm well aware I have no chance of winning. IT's just good to get through.

As for what I hope wins? Eh... I don't have a specific favourite. *shrug*

You've been waiting patiently for this moment. Now, your patience has been handsomely rewarded. It's time for the final regular-season installment of the BaldOne awards! (Hold your applause, please!) Are you ready for some football... er, awards? Of course you are!

Biggest Surprise - Emit a Flash
Look at the graphics and tell me you expected ANYTHING good out of this. Well, you got it anyways. Solid stepchart on all three levels make this one a joy to play... just not a joy to look at.

Biggest Letdown - the legend of ART
Three weeks of hype for an off-beat entry? Puh-lease!

Most Overrated .dwi - the legend of ART
It's just getting the OMG IT'S TEH ROCK! pseudo-leet love, but even that's too much.

Most Underrated .dwi - Boomerang v2
What's with all the hatorade-drinking on BMR? Even if you don't like his entries, this one is very un-BMR-like - fun on pad!

Most Ignored .dwi - Vlad
It's Japanese rock. SOMEONE should've said something by now!

Best .dwi You Didn't Want to Play - Brugal Mix Remix
I don't know what it is about rap that makes everyone think that no good can come out of it DWI-wise, but this proves them wrong. Very solid entry.

Most Needed Speed Adjustment - Ballad 4 U
It's got the whole La Duena del Swing thing going on (DWI's BPM is 1.5X what it should be). It's a cluster at 66, but it's just off @ 98 (well, without being off).

Worst Foot Rating - R5 (Ska-Ana Mix) - Heavy (10)
With that 10-second Power Pad mad dash in the beginning, a foot rating is useless. It's an unwinnable level, like the one in SpyKids 3D.

Not that I've seen SpyKids 3D, mind you riiight.gif

Best Achievement in a Bad .dwi: DJ Styronova for his work on Gyroscope
How he made a semi-entertaining .dwi with nothing but spins, I don't know. But he did.

BaldOne's Picks for the Finals:
3/6 last week (ouch); 25/36 [69% - tee hee] overall

In alphabetical order
Back & Forth (Borderline, especially if the Art fans rise up)
Boomerang v2 (Create jillions of .dwi's; check. Get called out by DJ Damien; check. Whup his @$$ in the bracket; check)
Dream Posession (Don Patch Don Patch Don Patchi goodness)
Party Time (The only DanceMania entry in the bracket gets lots of love here)
That's Enough (Jet Grind love runs abundant for this quality entry)
U Got 2 Know (Looks like Flawless, not as good as Flawless, but will join Flawless)

Next week:
If there's a wildcard of some sort, I'll give out more BaldOne awards. If it's the finals, then grab your tuxes and dresses, because it will be time to toss out the BaldOne Awards and whip out...

THE BALDIES!

Who was overlooked? Who was overhyped? Who's wearing who? All this, plus answers to more questions you didn't care to have answered next week (assuming there's no wildcard round).

If neoMAX doesn't win, I'm gonna cry...

If Legend of ART makes it to the top three....heads will roll.... devil.gif
