...yeah, and you've been playing iidx for how many yearS?

Well, I hear a bunch of junk like "I was doing 7's in like a month" or "I got another down in like 5 weeks", I figured you all followed the same suit. I've heard so much of it, I started to believe it.

People who make these claims fit into one of three categories:

1. Liars
2. People who play IIDX for some ridiculous amount of time every day.
3. People who have experience with another (non-DDR) bemani.

Decent, but that was like doing the same thing over and over :\. Make some variety man I was doing that shit like a year ago. Plus it takes the opponent to be in a very good position to do mid-ar lk lk into hyper grav xx tempests over and over, and in a real match you'd be lucky to get past 2 times, even with good execution.

anyway this is ddrfreak so carrying on with this convo. would be gay, so i'll stop posting and hope that you will too... forever.

After a week of vacation in Colorado and no way to play any bemani... I plugged in 6th style again. Man, taking a week off sure took a toll on my playing. I sucked.

Three new AAA's:

Doigts de Fatima L7
Flowtation L7
Five Regrets L7

33 AAA's , 36 AA's on L7 for 6th style. Adding random helped me get a few of the AAA's too... actually, I used random on all 3 I got today. =/ I guess once you recognize different note combinations better, throwing random on can help quite a bit. If I could only hit more of those note combinations now... I have a long ways to go.

Ugh.

I will never AAA Doggies de Fatima. I never play it because it sucks so terribly.

It seems a lot skilled DDR/IIDX players (many locally) are heavily into this MvC2 thing. Fighting games never seemed to be my thing (except MK3, way back in the day). Is there something I'm missing out on with MvC2??

Well if that is ludicrous to be able to do 7's in a month, then what is the general progression from difficulty to difficulty?

Of course it'll probably be a blurred line....I passed Fly away L7 today (4*), my second time ever playing iidx, but baaadly failed a 2* (dont recall off the top of my head which one).

Quite possibly the fact that its the greatest fighting game ever made. You must play it.

Anyway, whats a good air combo for Mags? A friend of mine told me to ditch using Ruby Heart for him, but he is rather hard to air rave with, and catching someone with his Magnetic Tempest in the air is a doggy.

MvC2 is awesome and all... I suck playing it, but I love watching someone good play it.

But... I'm sort of sick of reading these conversations when I expect to see what problems/accomplishments people do in IIDX. So, do you guys think you could move the MvC2 talk to a different topic? Perhaps make a sticky of it? It's not that I don't like the game, it's just that I would rather talk strictly about IIDX in this topic... rather than other games that have no resemblence to music what-so-ever. =/ (I'm not playing "moderator" or anything... it's just a personal favor I'm asking.)

OK check this out. Since so many people wanna chat about fighting games. I am going to make a topic on the Non-Music Games & Consoles forums called "THe Official Arcade Fighting Games Thread" so any fighting game talk you guys want to talk about we will do it over there.

On topic: Doigts De Fatima means Fingers of Fatima, taking French in school finally paid off.

Good. Now, next person to mention a fighting game gets points for going off topic.

So, Fatima doesn't translate into anything?

On that note, I got my AAA on Doigts De Fatima on both 7key and Another(with a full combo for Another. yay).

You guys hate it... but, I like it, because I can AAA it on all 3 difficulties. =D

I also got a couple more AAA's on L7.

Fly Through the Night
The Shining Polaris

That puts me up to 35 AAA's and 34 AA's on L7. Yay... I finally have more AAA's than AA's on L7 for 6th style. =D I was *this* close to AAAing VJ Army L7... I had around 188,000 points with 1 good. frown.gif No Perfect Clear for me... nor AAA. frown.gif I'll make that song my next victim.

~Edit~ Yay. I played some Expert Courses tonight... and I got my first AAA. ;_; ~gets forclempt~

AAA Vivid Light7. w00t!!1!!11

2129 Just Greats
451 Greats
36 Goods
2 Bads
12 Poors

4709 Expoints. yay.

Well after my very first day of owning IIDX (a 6th style) I have a few (very) minor accomplishments. I have cleared about 85% of the easiest difficulty on Drill mode and about 20% of the mid-difficulty. I have cleared every beginner mode song with a AA on Holic. So how am i doing?

P.S. I have only played this game once before for about 2 turns at a local tournement

Anyone know what I can practice on 6th Style to get the reading speed of Max300 or Sakura on high speed 1?

Is Take it Easy HS2 too fast, or too slow?

On another note, I 76%ed Safari [7key] today and broke a chair.

Safari seems much easier to me than Take it Easy [7Key] ... Saiya, my advice would be to sit and learn the parts where the main theme comes in with the background of 16th note chords and make sure you know them. There's three patterns reused throughout the whole song. Simple, if you use training mode.

But don't listen to me, because I can only 76% it. -.-;
