My mom got ahold of our local news back in December and they came here to record a couple friends and I playing.
I've seen a rip-off on an episode of Yu-Gi-Oh!
A while back, there were two ladies from the newspaper at our arcade, my friend Angie and I were talking to them about DDR. They were talking to people about what they are doing to take their mind off the war. We weren't pictured in the paper but they did take pictures of us playing. _________________

I can't believe no one else saw this. OMG I SAW DDR on the front page of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel!
Here is a link to the article, which is about child obesity, and if you scroll down a bit you'll see this picture which was on the front page.
I skimmed the article, but didn't really find DDR mentioned other than the caption to the picture (which referred to it solely as a "dance machine"). _________________

Wow, we even get recognition from the sports world. ESPN.com's Page 2 is doing a review of all the major league ballparks. Check out the "Seat Comfort" section on the review of Atlanta's Turner Field: http://espn.go.com/page2/s/ballparks/turner.html _________________

My mom was watching this show on The Filipino Channel, and these people were playing video and arcade games. Then they showed these people playind DDR. I think it was a 4th+ machine. |

On Great Hotels, the lady with the bad jokes went to the Metreon. It was only 3 seconds, but still. And once again, it was called 'Dance Revolution'. _________________

Remy wants this in here so here:
Making its debut in the immortal hilarity of MAD Magazine (August 2003 issue), the Monroe comic on pgs. 44-45, focuses its attention on DDR as Monroe defeats the Duke of New York. He then gets invited to play a role as a dancer in a theatre production.
I only scanned the two pages that show DDR, but if you want to see the first page of this comic or the rest of this issue from the best magazine still in circulation (Playboy close at its heels ), don't buy one. Subscribe!
Yet another shameless plug for DDR in the August 2003 issue of MAD Magazine (Monroe and the Big Apple Part 2)
Now we sit back and watch the self-important *insert any word for losers here* tear apart the comic for its accuracy (or lack of).
Why this isn't in the announcements like For Better or For Worse is I don't know. _________________

DDR Extreme was just featured on the crappy mid day soap opera Days of our Lives. Six actors were playing on beginners mode, that Celebration Night Song. Highest grade was a B, and one girl said "Oh My God we won!" My girlfriend's mom pointed it out to me, cuz she knows i'm a ddr player _________________

im the first for this one, so yay me!
Quote: | The 10K Commotion (thanks Magenta) - Everybody out there in Internet-land knows how much I love webcomics. In case you don't know how much I love webcomics, let me explain how much I love webcomics: I frick hate them. That should clear things up for everybody who were either previously confused or retarded or both. It is my opinion that anybody can create a poopy webcomic, and anybody does, which is why we've got so many stupid websites devoted to the wacky antics of two MS Paint computer-lovin' teenage guys who play Counter-Strike and make acerbic comments about the Xbox before joining their furry friends on a spaceship which is piloted by a unicorn who can transform into a dragon or tank. "The 10K Commotion" combines poopy webcomics with the ever-so-popular "I want to draw anime but my advanced case of Down Syndrome prevents me from doing so" art style that permeates every goddamn nook and cranny of all original online art. Now combine that with a cast of boring, bland, one-dimensional kids who play "Dance Dance Revolution" and you've got something which should be illegal in all 50 states and that one island that I think the US owns but refuses to acknowledge it because the inhabitants are always shooting and stabbing each other all the time.
Through college, everything in life changes so this manga is really just about 10 characters who have one thing in common and are destined to collide in front of thousands of people. They meet dozens of other players, both allies and enemies but it's no secret that The Platinum Mark and Team Psyclone will face off before it's all over. Who will win in the end isn't as important as how they'll get there.
OH WHAT A THRILLING AND EXCITING JOURNEY INTO THE COLORFUL HEART OF ARCADE MACHINE DANCING!!! I wonder how many restless nights I will lie awake in bed, worried if The Platinum Mark will be able to defeat Team Psyclone in the ultimate competition between ugly skinny nerds who dance in front of arcade games. This webcomic will undoubtedly appeal to all you people who love poopy art, watching people dance in front of machines, and the trials and tribulations of a bunch of nerds who think they're trendy Japanese retards who are pretending they're trendy American retards. I'm thinking that's, at the most, like one person, possibly less. |
