DISCLAIMER: @ddrer.com and @ddrtist.com are my (blue^'s) personal domains. So, this email service is not provided as a commercial service, and although I'll try my best to keep the best quality of service, I can't give you any kind of guarantee. In legal words, `I shall not held liable for any kind of direct/indirect/incidental/special/exemplary/consequential damages arising in any way out of the use of this email service'. Your mileage may vary. Slippery when wet. Don't apply for one if you need something more than this, okay?
Okay, so here's how this works.
This is an email forwarding service. That is, you give me:
- the @ddrer.com or @ddrtist.com email address you want to use ([email protected] for example) and
- the email address you regularly use (for example, your Hotmail address).
Then I set up so that all emails to your @ddrer.com/@ddrtist.com email address shall be forwarded to the address your regular email address. Think of this as an `email alias' service; your @ddrer.com/@ddrtist.com email address will be a well-known alias for your regular email address, especially when your regular email address is too dull or too long to remember.
Keep in mind that I don't provide you with any kind of real email account where you can store and retrieve your emails (through POP, IMAP, or a webmail interface) as Hotmail or Yahoo! does; you would need one.
There may be cases where I can't really give you the email address you wanted, or revoke the address that I already set up for you:
- Someone else already took the address.
- The email address is confusing or misleading.
For example, it's unlikely that I'll give you [email protected] unless you happen to be the same Jason Ko that lives 5 minutes away from me .
- Or there's any other reason that I see as reasonable.
In legal words: `I reserve the right to refuse or deny the service to anyone for any reason.' So... to apply for one,
Just PM me with those two items listed above (the @ddrer.com/@ddrtist.com address you want to use, and your regular email address). I will examine them and set up the forwarding, typically within 1-2 days (but remember, again, there is no guarantee in this timeline, especially if I'm pressed hard by my workload, for example ).
Good? Good.

He's not giving you a new e-mail server.
He's giving you an address that forwards your e-mails to your original server. _________________

From practical point of view, it helps if your email address is too long, boring, or otherwise not impressive or hard to remember. (If you recently had to get one of those free email addresses such as Hotmail or Yahoo! Mail, you'd understand; all good ones are already taken. )
Thanks,

Also, some servers are programmed to not accept e-mail domains from "temporary" web spaces such @yahoo.com or @hotmail.com. It happened to me back when I used yahoo.com for e-mail purposes. Hypothetically, they wouldn't know to refuse [email protected] even if they refuse [email protected]. Interesting, eh? _________________

Is this service through Namezero?

Is it possible to send mail and make it look like it's from the DDR address?
Like, so when people recieve mail from you, it says, "From [email protected]"? |
