Is there a way to see if it has an another without actually playing it? I'm going today, but I'm not gonna play a song I know I have no chance of passing! Oh well, I won't rob Oogami of his arcade day. Rottel-the-mercury will be mine... disturb.gif

Twisted Silence - sounds like cool stuff, definitely going to check out some of those bands when I get home.

Probably not.

I'm sure we'll know when they do, though.

Use a private message next time, please.

If anyone plays Festa Do Sol or Lights, let me know how they are - I'm interested in how the Musicianship Trial thing turned out.

BTW, Genom Screams is also in 9th, and has gotten an Another. From the looks of it (the guy in front of me had selected it), the another is pretty challenging; no 5.1.1. [a], but certainly makes the song worth playing again. The drawback: the song seems to be hidden. The guy in front of me had it appear in his playlist (under Substream) each time he played, but it has yet to appear in mine, even during EX stage (and it's only rated a 5). Does it have to do with the entry card? Do you have to play/clear a certain number of songs before you can unlock it, or does it have to do with the songs you play previous to it? Has anyone gotten info about it from somewhere yet, and are there other hidden songs in the game (other than Paranoia Survivor Max, that is)?

Also, for any person not residing in Japan that has a 9th at their arcade: does your arcade also stock the entry cards? Better yet, are they able to connect to the net so they can record Internet Ranking, All Japan Ranking, etc.? I think a network connection is required just to USE the cards themselves; once when the network was down, the machine wouldn't take anybody's card at all, even if you weren't participating in Internet Ranking (wonder why you have to connect if the machine itself deals with writing info to the cards?). I'm just curious to see how they handle this, because if on the off-chance Florida does someday get a IIDX 9th machine (HA!), I'd like to know if my entry card would still be usable once I move back to the US.

Some entry cards unlock certain songs exclusive to that card.

Earlier tonight...
Oogami: Maybe the songs you have available depend on the card you have.
Pong: Nahhhhhhhh... that would just be excessive.
Oogami: Yeah you're probably right.

Mudda fukka!!

Guess this gives me an excuse to buy more cards.. yay, I'm not broke enough already. At least they lowered the price of 9th to 100 yen.

*Hanzo from HH and II*

Anyway, my arcade if... no, WHEN they upgrade 8'th to 9'th had BETTER get cards... hell, they would make extra money off of the cards anyway so why wouldn't they... I just hope a network connection is available =/ I'd assume there would be one though, that's one of my main reasons for wanting the upgrade ;p

PS: Those cards look cool E7.gif

Ok I got card questions:

1.How much are those cards (in dollas)?

2.The cards come out random right, like Initial D?

3.And if they are, are they kinda "rigged" like there is just too much of one card and not enough of the one you need?

OK.

Ryan is correct in saying that the cards yield some songs that were exclusive or of popularity in the style of card you get. For instance, 6th style gives you 19, November and Take It Easy, while 4th style gives you Minimalian (with a new another) and Fantasy.

Also, the order in which I dispenses, I *THINK* they go in order, but for every cycle the 9th style card switches off characters.

I got a different take when I used Babelfish on that page and treid to read it. Yes, the cards do unlock some songs, but it seems like you can unlock all of the songs on any card -- the unlock order is what's different for each card. It seems like after you play so many songs you get the two songs for the given style of your card, and then you get the songs from the next version. This pattern repeats until you get the 9th style unlock, where it loops back and starts at 1st style until all of the songs are unlocked.

That would certainly make more sense, since having certain cards only access certain songs would be really annoying.
