For one thing, remember that the steps to the song do not always go to the bagpipes, and also don't go to the percussion all the time either. It can switch between the two at times, depending on where in the song.
It may seem confusing at first though, since sometimes they are exactly on beat with each other, but then another moment they're not.
Secondly, there are no jumps whatsoever in Bag, except at the very, very end, where it's just a simple Left/Right arrow jump for the final note. No matter how close the arrows may seem, don't let it trick you.
Lastly, just keep trying. One thing you may like to try is putting Bag on boost, no speed mod. The arrows won't begin to become clearer until the final moments before reaching the top, and so you can practice reading them on 1X, but also not worry about dying.

I'll tell you what I did to learn the song.
Download the song for stepmania and practice. Just keep playing it over and over on 3x, then 2x, then 1.5x, and 1x. Use Tick, it helps alot. When you feel comfortable with it, take off tick and try it on 1x. You can also try using your feet sometimes. Most importantly, practice. Practice practice practice.

| i love bag, i wish we had an extreme machine here so i cold play it... at home i can do it 1x with not too much problem.. and i can get pretty far on .5x...but no way i can do it on hidden... |

Bag on 1x speed is a pain. i just freaken' practiced the hell out of it on my stepmania and then i finally got it at the arcade with a "C" |

Make that 'A' 5x (well, okay, I'm weaning myself onto 3x and 1.5x... verrrry slowly...) and I'll second it. I can't sight-read slow things worth shit... it has to be 155 < x < 320 (on Heavy) for me to read it successfully and pull an A or B.
I'm pitiful.  But the nice thing to know is that if I get it down on 1x, then I'll be doing something nobody else in Anchorage can.  Fat chance yes, but it's worth the effort, I guess... *used to be, and still is, the only one in the vicinity who can A Orion.78 Am-euro on flat heavy 1x without the bar... Anchorage is bar-rape heaven, 'cept for me...  *

righteo. i was gonna say that, but u beat me. this song is the greatest. whenever i go up to play, my friends always know what ill pick first. ive played that song so much, i can beat it flat, reverse, reverse-flat, random, left, right, mirror, and if they had the option (which i wish they kept) .5x im pretty sure i could beat it .5x random flat reverse.
maybe i could do this because i memorized most of it on stepmania
but the first time i played, i was like, "double you, tee, eff!!!" anyway, i kick your moms behind in it
