I read the comics this morning, and I must say, highly impressive. To see manga art with DDR mixed into it, you blended it so well, thumbs up to that! Also, if you don't have a bigger career your pusrsuing, I would suggest pursuing this one, because from the views this topic has made, and the opinions of everybody, you are one highly-talented artist, and make me look like a newbie.... LOL.
(One of these days I'm going to learn how to draw like that and not copy stuff) |

There was a girl in my Japanese class who had the midwest thing going on, too. The worst part was how she would be constantly correcting me. My memory for vocabulary is terrible, so I'd always have to pause to figure out what to say and poof, she'd be there, saying it, and when I did know what to say, she'd correct me. Needless to say, I tried very hard not to have to do excercises with her. (My pronunciation, though marred by my half Southern, half-valley girl accent, has at least been influenced by enough singing Japanese songs at the top of my lungs in my car and watching anime that I had at least the cadence of the language down, even if I couldn't remember the word I had to come up with. I leave the languages to people who are good at learning those sorts of things.) |

well, I'm glad we got all those puns sorted out (now we should all be punished)
But guys, I spent all day scanning the last 10 pages of Second Stage because I want chapter 2 to finally be done! And then guess what! 10K ran out of bandwidth!!
It's because of the forum... I found another server to host all of the comic, but the more people who joined the message board made the bandwidth jump exponentially! I still want to have a forum and I'll be starting a new message board on the other server (so it'll have it's OWN bandwidth independant of the comic) but for tonight, the site is down... I feel so disconnected!
Anyway, I'll be putting the last update up on Sunday night, assuming everything else is okay by then... oooh it's gonna be a little more expensive but that's the cost of publishing a web comic, na? I'm really glad it's gotten popular so it's worth it.
DJ Dustbuster-- you're in Clearwater? I know where that is... the sister city is Nagano, I think you mean, in Kantou that's pretty cool!
and Kel-- grats on karaoke-ing! (you too maiz, especially if it helps your pronunciation ) Tomorrow I'll see what happens to me at Long Beach...
soooo, the site should be back up by Sunday night when I update so, in a couple days, 10K mo yoroshiku! _________________

Makoto, there is always the option of opening an EZBoard and not having to worry about bandwidth and message board issues so much.
I know some people are loathe to them, but in this case, it may be beneficial so that you don't have to worry so much about issues with too many members.
But it's just a suggestion. _________________

Went to 10K, read the comic, joined the forum, posted a comment...
I just want to say here that the comic is awesome, anyone who likes DDR will love thic comic - and if you like manga AND DDR than this is definitely for You. As for me I am hooked, I can't wait until the comic is published in print, could I please pre-order my 100 copies of issue #1, autographed if possible...?

Lune, you're right... EZ board might be another option, although the cost there increase with the number of members you get! So if lots of people sign up, even if they don't post the cost is higher... plus people on forums are mean sometimes and I don't know if I need the extra stress. I seem to attract more than my daily allowance of trolls/makoto-haters so I'm looking into some other options now and some other people have offered to host a forum for 10K so we'll see
dancing tonight-- i saw that you joined hey there! unfortunately now the forum is down again to save on bandwidth, but I'm really happy to hear you like it!
And Saiyajin, no need for a sad face-- the site itself and the comic are already back up (because my host is prompt like that yaay) Yeah, doing anything takes money. It's worth it to me as long as I can afford it to keep uploading my manga. I can already see lots of improvements from the first few pages so the more I draw the better it'll get, I have faith
Violet, you're so sweet! I know you were nervous but it was great meeting you yesterday and also watching you PA! (I think you were the only person to do Frozen Ray, right? --I should've done 321 Stars but I had a Great time with Daikenkai instead, ha ha!) You inspired me a lot (although I don't know if I got any pictures! meaning I'll have to draw yesterday from my imagination, ha ha!)
anyway, I'm moving again tomorrow, so I'll upload the last pages of chapter 2 as soon as I'm back there thanks everybody! yoroshiku! _________________

JinI got 15 greats playing 2x, Shuffle, Flat. (My PA Mods) 1 good. Pretty crappy. Eh oh wellz. Despite the fact that I was very very VERY nervous I was very happy.
Makoto - I had no idea how or why but you did help my spirit lift yesterday during the tourny. It's rare for a stranger (to uplift my spirit when I'm nervous. ESPECIALLY when I'm nervous) But you were easy to approach and talk to. And as usual in this world full of arrogant teenagers you are bound to run into road blocks. The rude crowd. But dont you worry. They're just mad because they aren't cute like you Anyways have a great time packing. I'm very saddened you are going away but perhaps you'll come back. Nothing lasts forever. Perhaps a chance to play again in the near future. And you did just fine by the way. You are a great female PA'er. Please dont let those rude people slow you down. I know you are stronger than that from the inside. You couldnt believe the drama I went thru during (and still during) my tekken career as a tourny level player. The drama my dear was inseperable from the word "slap in the face" IN life you will be faced with this drama. How you handle it...is what separates the men from the boys. *sigh well I will miss you believe it or not. I'm sorry I didnt have a chance to say good bye last night. I spent some alone time praying and meditating about my performance. Your art is unbelievable.
Oyasumi nasai...
