I suggest you go re-download the pack, as there might be errors in the one you have.

*hearts the Dracula Medley, 100sec Kitchen Battle (after resynching it) and Tank! even though the maniac steps are... really hard with your feet riiight.gif *

Eternity is a bit... o_O

I know I read all the readmes (at like, 3am, so I don't remember any of it) and spotting some names I knew. Haven't quite got around to putting names to DWIs yet though...

I take it looking at the readme file counts as cheating? E15.gif

No, not cheating at all. By the time you vote the entrants name is next to the DWI name anyway.

Going through this week's entries, I was impressed by a couple of entries I thought would suck, and let down by others. Rather than point out what was cool, I'm going to say what I thought was stupid.

Whoever made "Inspector Gadget (techno mix)" wins BONUS MORON POINTS for having NO KNOWLEDGE OF CLASSICAL MUSIC or being too over reliant on Kazaa filenames. Inspector Gadget's theme, while similar, is not Grieg's "In The Hall of Mountain King". Fun steps though. It'd probably get someone's attention as a one letter title, like A or V for retarded mystery factor.

100sec Kitchen Battle, while fun and a great song, feels offbeat. No big rant about that, it happens. Rumpshaker feels that way, too. And I think that Super Mario GOD AWFUL IDM WANNABE REMIX doesn't go to anything.

The Light Switch Rave could've been so much more, but it was just a waste of 2 minutes in terms of step creativity and synch.

Aside from 100sec kitchen battle and Inspector Gadget (not-the-theme-dumbass mix), every other one seems pretty well made and original. "Honey, Do it Tonight!", "Eternity" , and "Billy Crocodile (speedy mix)" are the most fun and feel like effort was put in to them to make them interesting. Play those a lot.

First point: Already been discussed on DDRei. Dave Phaenuf commented himself saying he didn't know it was the wrong title (as thousands of people had the same file, he assumed it was correct). He's currently trying to find the actual name and composer of the song.

Second point: Take a look at the readme. That's one thing I'm trying to stress to everyone, is take a look at the readme files before commenting. You'll notice he didn't care about the steps, they took him a few hours to make and synch, and that he just didn't care about this TM, and wanted to waste everyone's time.

The scary thing is, I did care. I synced it up last night (well, as well as I could). What can I say? I have to keep my guy Strong Bad from getting... ahem... DELETED!

From what I have seen so far, I think that most of the public buzz has been around Tank! (definate top 6, but anime bias puts it in the top 3), Ultimate Cheeseburger (a much better DWI than it has any right to be), and More and More. Beach Visions seems like a shoo-in for the Judges voting, but hasn't gotten a whole lot of buzz in the forums. Hall of Inspector Gadget seems to be on the fence in public voting, but I can't see it being left out of the final group. Same deal (I hope) with Akumajo Dracula MEDLEY.

I found a better version, I think on bemanisims.com. Much better.

Not from what I read. But I guess that is because I am a bit biased about that song.

Bring The Pain is not racist... well, not intentionally. We've found out that the song is actually a cover of Bring the Pain by Method Man. Personally, I think it sounds like Korn doing Eurobeat (especially the preview sample), but that's just me. E1.gif

I should rephrase. Besides Ultimate Cheeseburger, it's a toss-up. I think that in the end, Tank! will end up getting in on the popular vote.

I'm not a fan of Tank at all. I don't understand what's so great about it. The song isn't that great, the dwi isn't that great. it's just bleh.

I'm a fan of Tears in Heaven. I love it.

This is how the first pack goes...

Either you liked TANK! or you liked Tears in Heaven... and then there are stragglers like Ultimate Cheeseburger. But it really looks split down the middle.

My picks are Tears in heaven, Billy Croc and Angle Dance.

Tears in heaven is great. I love the song and it fits really well for a DDR song. The strings in the beginning are great for a nice gallopy rhythm and just fits perfectly with DDR.

I think I was the only one that liked Billy Croc. It seemed like, if the song were real, I would pick it all the time. It also had a great banner and backround that seemed like it was a real DDR song.

Angle dance has really good steps. The song is kind of long (and dated) but the steps are really fun. I also think I was the only one that liked this song also.

I didn't like Tank E2.gif It seemed more like I was playing IIDX then DDR. SORRY frown.gif
