Im running DDRMAX, DDRMAXUSA, and DDRMAX2 off of a Messiah 1 without problems so the Messiah 2 should run even better.

There -is- a completely mod-proof patch for 5th Mix (and just about all the others), but I've only seen it as the entire image to download (and I haven't seen it since the mix released, at that).

I only know of their existance, and not to get them... and it's just crossing the line into flat-out piracy, anyways.

NNOoo. I might sound kind of demanding to the guy that runs PSX-Tech.com but I sent my PS2 May 30 th and I still haven't recieved it. I E-mailed the guy (bad idea) to see if he recieved it and he said he did. What really scared me was that the last two words that he ended the message in was "good luck". Can someone tell me how long it took for them to get their PS2s back. Thanks.

Okay, this may have been posted before, but I didn't see anything about it. With a modded ps2 (or ps1 for that matter), how do you go about loading up the append discs for 2nd Mix? I have these games, but i haven't modded my console yet and I am wondering if I will have a problem loading in the extra songs due to the fact that you have to swap discs. I'm sure someone out there has done this... thanks!

EDIT: Yeah, it works E4.gif E4.gif E4.gif

Does anyone have working Anti Mod Game Shark codes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Mix? I have used the codes on DDRFreak and both versions of modpar and still cannot get the games working right.

This is probably the wrong place to ask this and I apologize ahead of time if I am posting in the wrong area. Back in the early 90's I went to Korea and got a 3DO there, and I remember when I came back to the states, I had to buy a special convertor for the ac adapter that changes the current of electricity. Im going to get a Japanese PSONE system so I can play the Japanese DDR Mixes and 5 key beatmania, and I was wondering in order to get the PSONE to work, do I need a convertor like I needed for the 3DO?

Chances are you don't. The only difference between the Japanese electric system and the US one is that the Japanese grid alternates in 50 Hz, while in the US it's 60 Hz. Most power supplies can tolerate a 10 Hz difference.

To be sure, look at the back of the PSOne or the manual. Usually it'll have the specifications written there.

Answer one, ask one.

I'm currently in LA (El Monte, CA to be exact), and want to get my PS2 modded. Can anyone recommend a reputable installer in the area?

Thanks.

PSX-Tech (www.psx-tech) is in San Francisco, and they're a very good installer.

No, you do not need a power adapter for a Jap PSOne. I have a jap psone and it runs just fine. I'm sure others with a Jap PS2 could say this too.

Err, San Francisco is almost 400 miles away. It's "in the area" in the same sense that Pittsburgh, PA is to NYC. :baffled:

Perhaps I should clarify: I'm looking for a place where I can drop off / pick up my PS2 personally. So somwhere within ~ 1 hr driving distance would be ideal.

I know that the place in San Gabriel, CA where a DDR Extreme machine is at also installs mod chips, but I don't know anything about their quality. So has anyone gotten their PS2 modded there?
