What does a DDR girl what to hear? if shes good, then actually acknowledge the fact...if shes not, then let her choose a song or two.
it is not true that all girls what to pick all the songs...well, not all girls...ive done 3 songs in a row on trick or heavy letting the guy choose.
and the smile thing is also very true, smiling shows confidence and that you are enjoying playing...unlike my bro who has sucked all the fun out of DDR...
and another thing, dont curse if your failing a song...it wastes breath that you might need to recover |

dood I just kick ugly girls off of the ddr machine if I am playing, problem solved.
Personally, when girls and guys play together I like to walk by and make fun of them with my friends. Saying like dang what a gey game, and say how easy it is. Then they inform me of how hard the game is and offer for me to play. I accept then they think they will have their fun laughing at me stumble around, I scroll through the song list and ask them if like max 300 is hard....they say like nooo....acting all cool again, I ask what mode I should play it on and they say oh that green one, I am like cool I love green. And then I double A Max300 w/o bar rape....
but I digress... what were we talking about
oh yah kicking ugly chix of ddr machines.... |

Man this thread is so off topic just lock it already.
What do I want to hear a guy say?
-"nice PA"
-constructive non biased criticism
-"good job" when it's warranted _________________

I'm a girl and I can play and AA 9 footers.
Not to mention I beat a couple of 10 footers too.
I like it when I hear people around me saying.."Wow, she just beat that guy" _________________

<<Besides... you guys don't have boobs that bounce when you jump... and no, bras don't always support as well as some of you may think! Not to mention, when the boobs bounce, it can hurt like hell! Let's see some of you DDR guys deal that upper chest pain...>>
Heh... Playing DDR used to slightly hurt and I had to wear two bras, but it's now no a big deal and Im used to it so it doesn't hurt. And this is coming from someone who just about wears a cup C bra.
<<I think that a girl that is really trying hard to play well DOESN'T want to hear, "Wow, you're good for a girl."
Or something I'd hear...
"OMG, I've never seen a girl AAA a heavy/maniac song" or "I've never seen a white girl so good before." It like, those things just piss us off.
That being said, there are girls out there that can PA really hard songs really well, and the ones that do want to be recognized as a whole, not just because we're female. >>
AMEN! And I absolutely hate it when guys say that kind of crap when I'm busy playing Time Crisis 2 and 3, Area 51, Maxium Force, any race car games etc. Wow, I like firing guns, racing cars on Manual mode and working off a sweat just like you guys over at the DDR machine! Big deal.
<<I don't like hearing groans from the 7-8-9 footer guys when I play www.blondegirl on trick. If they're gonna play max 300 and Tsugaru EIGHT THOUSAND TIMES, then i can play whatever I want>>
Oh christ, I hate those type of DDR players that just only play those type of songs only to try and impresse me when I bust out on a VARIETY of songs which is what a true DDR player does in my opinion. Go *^$# yourselves, losers. DDR players like that should be hit with a big stick.

One word to that: OUCH. I agree so completely to that. I'm 10 foot level, and my bra is D40. It's also too small, which just adds to the ouchness. It sucks and stuff, yeah.

I've heard that stuff so many times it's not funny. Can't females play video games and not be worshipped for it? Can't complain, though...

But it's my luck that the girls that try to talk to me
or hook up with me are 14-16. Perfect example at Powerstation on Sunday. *sigh* it's become a routine to say "I'm happily taken" to these persistant and probably immature young girls. They think because I'm a guy we're morons and easy. (well most of us are anyway) Morally I believe that I am above most guys out there in that department which separates the men from the boys.
And about the boobs...that's the guys' preference. I honestly am NOT staring at a girls' boobs when they play whether they bounce or not. That doesnt matter. What matters is the experience of "having a good time" Guys just consider watching a girl playing DDR and viewing her chest as a form of entertainment. How sad is that?
And from my experience, a DDR girl just needs someone to talk to...a close friend to help them out in a crisis. (Which is almost impossible to find in the DDR world) Most of the DDR girls I've talked to were very sweet and sincere. Looks dont matter. I dont care if anyone steps foot on the pad while I play. Girls mostly do it when I play. Just to see how I step probably etc.
And what was probably a memorable moment a few months ago. Were these two 14 yr old girls that wanted to play DDR...after my first stage I let one of them play because they've been watching me play for a while. I gave them my game and my free powercard because I was going to lunch with one of the workers there. (Joce) and I just gave them my card and you should've seen their face light up
Giving, sincerity, a good friend to be there for them in their guy trouble, criticism when needed (Constructive) and kind smiles and words towards them are what want but most importantly, need to hear. Even your smile can change a woman's day. Most likely they've gone thru a lot in their young lives and needs a good smile to greet them _________________

I am female... I play ddr.. note my membership date.. that is nearly 2 weeks away from when I started playing July 26th.. nearly a year ago.. I will go off topic and say I hate to hear it when guys don't think girls can play ddr.. because in calgary we have an awesome set of girls who are all on heavy mode, who all are capable of pulling off awesome freestyles... and are all some of the greatest ddr players in Calgary... I dislike it when guys say that girls can't play ddr...
I like hearing it when guys do ask if I want to play against them.. or if they can play against me.. or if they ask how to do a certain step.. or how I"mjust so amazingly hot.. jk.. lolz..but yeah, it's great to hear words of encouragement from guys..
at work, we have a ddr machine.. and there are... 4 guys.. and 2 girls who are good at it.. me being the best of the girls.. and I"m just about the same calibur as the top guy who plays it... we've played together alot... it's great to play against guys, because you learn how they attack a song, and they're more agressive when it comes down to that... |

I hate it but also think it's funny when some guy asks to play DDR with me and when we pick our level we both pick Heavy and he stares at me like I'm either really stupid or just psycho. But by the end, they usually start to worship me (although they later tell me they refuse to ever play with me again 'cause I'm too good) x.X
What I really hate the most is when a guy pushes me off the DDR machine or at least yells "Fail really soon so I can play!" and walks back and forth in front of the screen while I'm playing, which has happened to me a lot.
I'm getting as good as a few of the regulars there, and I haven't been playing nearly as long (about 5 monthes now), but I can A every 8-footer I've tried, B most 9-footers (and A a few like Can't Stop Falling in Love and Colors on challenge steps), and...I've never really tried a 10-footer...except for Sakura (Heavy, of course), which I got a C on the one time I've played it =-.-= 'Course I'm the master at getting goods, so I can't even AA Love Shine or Freckles..or any super easy songs you can think of..not even any Light (which I've never played on in my life) or Standard songs.. |

Wow, these two "What does a DDR *insert gender* want to hear?" threads make it seem even more like Alaska is way outside the norm. :|
The girls and the guys all just play to have a good time, and most of us are really good. We have a thread in the AK/HI/PI forum, and you can see we're all generally pretty nice. |
