question about an adapter i got with my metal pad (not usb)

ok i got my pad this morning, and beside it not lookin like the one on the site (it looks way better, exactly like a cobalt flux), i didnt get the EMS2 usb-> ps adapter that was suppose to come with it, but instead in the box was an adapter that plugged into the back of my computer....well im not sure how to configure that one since i thought i was gettin the USB adapter....can anyone tell me anything about the adapter i got? It fits into the back of the computer where u plug a printer into.
