Curious to see who here has entered previous ones, who is entering the new one (TM4), and any fave/least fave files.

I really didn't have a chance to participate in any tournamix other than 3, and even then, I couldn't dl the songs with my crappy bandwidth. But I entered 3, I will be entering 4, and I'll probably get back to you on the fave/least fave thing.

P.S. my entry for TM3 was Marmalade Reverie by Orange Lounge...it's on bemanisims.com as well. A slow scroller...eh, it was okay i guess. This time it's Number One by Fastway. Not released yet, of course

I was thinking about entering TM4 maybe some encouraging words will make me want to enter. E4.gif

I liked some of the following from TM3:

A2, Simple and Clean, Spin, and Compukiss.

Those were the ones that stuck out, and of course Deshauns DWI was good as well, I have to admit it could've been better. For your first tournamix you did a fine job, I will be playing your one for TM4 soon hopefully, once they put the files up.

edit: nevermind just found this out,

UPDATE: 5/30/03 4:30am

Today is the last day to get Pre-Registers in!
No more will be excepted after midnight!
The list of entries has been edited down and updated. Few people have backed out.

Source: www.ddrei.com

Maybe I will not be entering. laugh.gif

I've had that one for months.

I've just never played it. E15.gif

I really liked TM3's (?) Stoic. 3183 BPM is AWESOME. No, really.

Yea I have a feeling that's how a lot of the simfiles turned out in tm3. It kinda sucked having 2 people doing the same song. I think ddrei made a typo on one of them. There's one that says Marmalade Reverie, which is mine. There's another one that says "Reverie" which is the other entry.

Stoic was pretty slick though...I usually frown on tempo changes and pauses...except when they're done perfectly, so yea E13.gif

I made Confusion by Tess for TM3. Nice Chaos spike for all in there. This next entry will be no exception.

Yeah... i entered TM3 with "Winter". It received... lets just say, "Mixed" reviews. You either liked it a little or you wanted to kill me. Which i didnt appreciate. But it was funny, so i let it go.

Im trying to enter TM4 with "Resurrection" from GitarooMan, but i dont know if i got my Pre-Reg Correction in on time. I had initially entered "Secrets" by Will.I.Am, but i found a different song. I REALLY hope that i got that correction in on time...

Oh well...

Haha... yeah...

I just wish people could give CONSTRUCTIVE critisism instead of "Thats stupid" or "Youre stupid".

Or even the occasional "Die whitey".

Well, you derserve some constructive criticism...

I am not sure if you were trying to go for the actual steps in PIU, but I am not a fan of "double stepping" 16th notes at 160+ bpm. Twisting in DWIs is bad enough. (ie, the chains of (42684268...), making a spin).

Some of the steps didn't go with the song totally, I think you might have just been going for a running all over the place type of song.

No, not going for steps in Pump It Up...

I just did what the music felt like... i listened... and heard "Step step step JUMP step JUMP step step JUMP"...

I'm weird like that... but thats how i make DWIs...

You could've at least made the difficulty made a 9 or 10, not a freaking 7.

The tempo changes at the beginning were great.

Then the BPM started going into the quadruple digits. blink.gif

Me, too. Primarily because there was no way in hell my feet could play that song. Same with TSU4. No way in hell. I know people who loved both songs.

However, I must say that I loved the artwork of the ice sculpture! laugh.gif

You can get back at me in TM4 for Motor Pac City 5 once it's released. Believe me, I toned it down three times.

For those who missed the deadline for TM4, if you want to enter TM5, start working on songs now. That way, you'll have anywhere from 5-50 songs to choose from. I only have 13 songs since TM3 ended--about 6 months. I'm a bit overachieving in the test-play department.

The final pre-reg songlist is up on both DDRei and DDRManiaX. Make sure you check either list for your entry. If it's not on there, you're not in TM4, unless you got an e-mail from Sivus saying it was his fault you were missed. Otherwise, you didn't get your pre-reg in on time.

Just to note, DDRei is having forum problems. They're having a "Twilight Zone" exprience, if you will, when the forums will roll back and an entirely new forum will be displayed. The topics in that forum are different from the ones in the real forum, so most things posted in the rolled-back fourm will not be seen, unless it rolls back again. Easiest way to tell if you're in the up-to-date forum, the Opinions on Songlist thread should be at around 3 pages, and the main page should have an update on June 2, not sometime in May.

I'll be floating around on these forums, so if you don't frequent DDRei or DDRManiaX, you can ask your questions here and I'll do my best to answer them (in case you're wondering, yes, I am a staff member for TM, so my answers can be trusted).

I'll confirm that for everyone. His answers, along with Ensyther, RebelPilot LuvMix and Sivus (of course) are also valid.

Thanks for the update ollec.

I've entered every TM so far but my entries were never more than average or worse. This time I'm doing Cool Baby from Amplitude. I was thinking about calling it Cool Baby ( for Extreme ) since I had to cut it in two places to make it fit into a DDR length song. laugh.gif

disturb.gif No kidding.. I tried posting up my Bio 3 times already...

Anyways, I think I figured out the problem. If you go to http://forums.ddrei.com you'll get the rolled back forums, but if you go to http://www.ddrei.com/forums/ you'll get the correct results. That said, I'll try with the Bio one more time when I head back home tonight...

(Oh yea, my entry is Jenny Rom - Hanky Panky (e=mc² mix) riiight.gif )
