It works just fine - but you'll need to knife swap or order a cover mod or something.
You can't JUST use the discs. |
Actually, I just have the discs, I just leave the outer top off, and have the other top (The one that truly covers the CD; the one with the white disc) without the screws and use it like that, when it says to INSERT DISC, I just pull up that cover, put in the import put the cover back down, and there you go. No Flip Top, Knife swap or anything else. |
Sounds like that's "something"
Sounds easy as heck to do also. My friend actually broke his PS2 doing the knife swap trick, but he was forcing it and the try came off the track We had to open up the whole thing to fix it.
So if you do the knife swap DON'T FORCE YOUR TRAY OPEN. _________________

Does anyone have any info on x-box mod chips? I am looking for something just to play import games, but something that is easy to install, and that won't lock my system out of x-box live. _________________

Taken from china-magic:
For PS2 games, power up normally from STANDBY with RESET button. A single tap is required.
For PS1 games & DVD Movies, power up from STANDBY with RESET button held until the blue EJECT light comes on; then release RESET and the disk will boot. _________________

I know the has probably been asked before but instead of using the Swap Discs 2.0, can you use the Gameshark2 instead? And for PSX Backups and Imports can you use the second disc (PSX codes) of the gameshark to boot them? Thenx in Advanced. |

*sorry for posting this originally in the wrong place, Remy!*
Anyways, I am having problems with my PS2 flip cover. The PS2 is not reading the disk now that I have put it on. Did I screw it up? Does anyone know what's wrong? Thanks, Owen. |

I dont think a PSXChange would work. You might wanna try a Gameshark thatll work with PS1 games on a PS2. _________________
