Description
Konami's Bemani series is hot and drove the company to record profits recently. Jaleco sees this phenom and hopes to emulate it. They offered Stepping Selection earlier this year and now Rock'n Mega Stage is unleashed upon rhythm-action hipsters. This time, you're part of a rock band jamming in tune to catchy J-Pop with the included foot controller. _________________

Has anyone played this or know where I can find screenshots or pictures of the "foot controller."

Its not all that bad really, I have it and yes I play IIDX and DDR a hell of a lot more but the songs are kinda fun. It has very simple uncomplicated play mechanics which can be a nice break from other music games. Once you get to some of the harder tracks it will challenge you.
I bought it as it was cheap......about $17 in Tokyo and doubt it is worth the $50 or so on that site but it all depends on how much you like the songlist I think.
Here's a pic of the pedal although I don't really use it as I prefer to use the pad.
It has licensed songs too. Highlights would be Kanariya, Fly High, Be Together, Hot Limit, Rocket Dive, #-spring (its on Guitar Freaks with pandas in the video) and Sunny Day Sunday. There are others that I recognise but can't translate the name. _________________

I wasn't even considering this game until you said the song Sunny Day Sunday was on there. I love that song! _________________

What is Love Phantom from? Its a tough song with a good fast beat, I like it.
The song below Sunny Day Sunday is also on GF....3rd I think it is or maybe Gitadora. _________________

Sunny Day Sunday, Spring, Fly High, Rocket Dive, and I believe one of the ones in Japanese is Ai No Shorushi (or maybe that's Sakura No Toki), but those are all from Drummania.
Hot Limit and Be Together are from DDR. |

Wow, Hot Limit and Be Together. I love those songs too. So basically you just play this game with a dual shock and a pedal? _________________

You don't have to use the peddle and it is easier on just the dual shock but the pedle is fun.
How it works:
You choose up to 3 instruments, there are bass, lead, keyboards and drum to choose from. I think you may be able to play all 4 but so far I have stuck with 3 and not noticed a way to play 4.
Icons symbolising the instument are lined up from top to bottom of the screen and a bar scrolls down and wraps back to the top, when the bar is over an instrument you press the button.
I'll try to get round to snagging a pic of the game tonight. _________________

Sounds cool. I would love to see some screenshots. The game almost sounds like Parappa or something similar. _________________

same thing as Step Selection like someone posted that thread about Step Selection.

As I said, the green bar scrolls down the screen and appears back at the top. You press the button coresponding to the instrument.
You always have drum and then chose from the other 3. Sorry the picture is a little poor but it was hard enough to get it that visable at all.
Once I can dig up the box again, dammit its here somewhere, I will grab some pics of the instructions if you want. _________________

Hmm... pretty cheap, especially since it comes with ther pedal.
Sounds interesting, I may have to try it out. My JPS2 needs something in it besides IIDX for a while. |
