That's an awesome comic. I love the art, and concept of your characters. Interesting development. I was really brought down when it had said "Next comic May 25" and then the next day it was moved to June 1. >_< Oh, well. I'll live. Keep up the great work! |

This one guy there did an awesome job at LoM on Heavy. He failed. But still, I was truly amazed! He said he has DDR games and metal pads at home, but doesn't play much at home. He's been playing for over a year. The only thing I could say was "Damn," and "I'll NEVER be THAT good!" |
Yes... that's what I hate about bad pads... they give NG's like crazy. Yes, LoM heavy is very hard... I haven't beaten it yet at the arcade; though I've only tried once outside of an extra stage. One extra stage I was rocking... and made it to the freeze in the middle of the song... then the pads let up early and killed me(I think I already said that... oh well). What sucks is that I can read it perfectly fine... I just can't move fast enough. My record on DWI is 2 greats. And I did 3 greats with shuffle on. =D X_x I should be able to do it, but my body says, "Deyaam, that is too fast brotha" and I die.
Also, call me Jon... X_x I stick with "Saiyajin" for a screen name because I've used it for like 5 years, and didn't want to change it. Too much to remember. Heh... Everyone call me Jon. w00t!!11one1 ... *ehem*... yeah...
Oh yes you will. I remember way back when I thought I'd never beat Max300 Heavy... now if I don't get at least a B I get upset(even with a B I get upset). I'm sure that before you know it, you'll be whoopin' everyone you see, and then pretty soon everyone will be like, "Jee, I wish I could be as good as her... she rocks like wuuut!" And then the whole world lived happily ever after. The end. _________________

Really kinda sucks, ya know? But hey, maybe one day. I am doing things on standard mode... and I passed Max (dont know which one it was) on beginner mode! damn! that song is fast as hell! |
I hate it when the reason why you do bad is a physical limitation... it's really frustrating. Broken and sprained limbs suck... as I imagine asthma would(I'm lucky enough not to have it). No one else seems to have trouble moving fast enough to play the songs besides me... it's reading that they can't do. So, go figure... =/ I'm sure if you keep it up, you'll get as good as the best of them. Me, though, I'm too skinny(I don't know if anyone looked at those pics of me playing I posted a while ago or not), but if you did... haha... X_x I must look really awkward playing... 6'3 skinny white kid holding up his body with the bar to a song, the steps to which sound like a drum core, while his feet move like crazy. It's actually pretty funny how little my upper body moves when I play... The only time it does, is for jumps. Hahaha... X_x I never even touched the bar until I couldn't beat Unlimited Extra stage on Max2... now I can't seem to get off it. ._.
It's funny... I actually tried playing without the bar... and when you haven't done it for a while, it feels weird... but worst of all, I hadn't played DDR for a while period. So, I am losing my balance, and almost falling over on some easy nonstop courses. It's really pathetic.
Anyway, I wish I could be as good as Dyna is in the comic. Heck, I'm not even that good with a controller. X_x Though, close... very close. My feet just won't move fast enough. It scuks. _________________

Kellan here... Well, now I have a new name... Because I'm basically adapting myself to the DDR scene and giving myself a baddass nickname that goes with my soon to be made group, Quadra Era...
Sad to say, I'm not physically limited, in fact, I'm in better shape than most people... Never sick, no broken bones... Ya know...
But to the real crap...
Dyna makes me ultra jealous... And I have a hard pad at home, people think I cheat, but theres a point that its beyond skill, and goes into stamina... I can move that fast, but not for 90 seconds... More like 60... Waaahh, but 10K inspires me to go beyond just passing with Bs and As though... Now I'm angry at B's these days, when I useds to drool all over them... Waahhh! I can't finish DR! ARGhH!! I suck suck suck suck suck! I can't even AAA stuff... I have to stick with AAs.... boo! Despite the fact my name means frostbite, I have a hard time with long, slow freezes... But I'm the god of the quick spaz freeze like in Unlimited and other not so long stuff... Hence the name frost bite... (Cute...) I think Extreme is the best machine, because new songs like White Lovers, Xenon, Twin Bee, Be-lovin and other hard core songs make freestyling and emotion oh so much deeper... In fact, it was the extreme machine that inspires me the most... Mobo Moga, Miracle Moon, god, it's all about love these days... *Need girlfriend to freestyle White Lovers... WAAHHH!!!* I got alot more enjoyment out of Extreme than I did Max, though i do miss Bye Bye Baby Balloon...
In terms of TLOM, umm... Well, I can get farther on legend than I can on 300 on a general basis, wierd... Must be the adrenaline...
Shimoyake's endless jabber shall continue in my comic, which is really in its development stages... and hell, it's really pun heavy... CRAZINESS!
Well, kudos to the best artist on DDR freak so far...
Yay... I'm jealous, yay, I owned the San Diego Machine, Yay, I think I'm gonna' start a Makoto fan club or something...
Take your time Makoto, a good product takes time... SO you other people don't be mean and pushy on her, moving is a tough buttocks process...[/quote] _________________

I consider myself to have a physical limitation because I can't beat Max300, Unlimited, or LoM Heavy with an AA. I can't move fast enough for a long enough time... I am never sick, and haven't had a break for years. I wish I lived back at college now... DDREx within walking distance. Ugh... I hate home for summer. Closest DDR machine is a 1 1/2 hour drive. _________________

Hahaha... I'm kind of the opposite from everyone else. I am physically one of the most fittest people around here. I live out in the country, so I try to run 3 - 8 miles a day, everyday, depending on how energetic I am. For cross country, I'm suppose to run 8... Oh, well. But anyway, I also just started DDR, so it isn't my physical ability, it's just that I suck at the game. Damn rookies... One o' my friends is training me though. I'm very eager to learn the C-walk... |

Well... this was slightly shocking to come home to. I fly in from being in Boston for a week and check the fourms to see a bomb shell go off in my face. As soon as i got into Tampa International Airport and as soon as I could I went to Kel's house to see her form my week long family reunion. I would have been at her house sooner than 6 pm this evening but I'm the only one in the family who has a car that fits more than two people. Any way i go to Kel's and present to her the anniversary present that I bought up on vacation. A Red silk oriental robe... (Ok enough with the details, stright to the point) while at Kel's she didn't mention any of this to me at all. She started to but I had to leave since we both have an early morning tomorrow so we really didn't get to talk alot. She just kind of shruged it off and said don't worry about it. Any way I get home check the fourms and find out how the week really went for her. I called her right away and talked for a few hours trying to figure every thing out. Her and I are ok and on the same page now. She didn't want to tell me while in Boston because she didn't want to cause any waves for the reunion which i can appreciate, but we both also know that open communication is the key to a helathy relationship. I guess the point to my post besides to let every one know that all is well now is to give every one a little relationshiop advice. Always talk to your partner no matter what it is, when it is, or where either of you are located. If you don't talk then how does the other know how you are truely feeling inside. Yes some times I don't always show my emotions in the best of ways but Beth, I love you very much and nothing will change that. I do feel very lucky down right honored that you are willing to let me be your lover. Nothing made me happier than one year ago when your older brother kicked me under that table and said ask my little sister out now as a joke and you said yes. We had been best of friends for years prior and that day was probably one of the most memerable in our entire friendship beforehand. Your right who knows what will happen to us in the future, but I know that if we are together side by side we can take on what ever life throws at us. We all ready have with the "group" and all their stuff. I love you, and no fancy song, heartfelt poem, or expensive gift will ever match up to the warmth and joy I hold for you in my heart. This is true love and I couldn't ask for anything more than to share it with you. _________________

Ha ha ha! I'm back and finally done with that extra assignment! That'll be extra happy when I get a paycheck for it !!
And I'm done drawing the start to chapter 2 so I'll scan it and letter this week and it'll be up this weekend! I am sorry for the people who checked the site cause I was all like "Yes, it'll start this day" and then I had to change it because I got this work, but now I'm back on track... I'm happy so many people are patient with me-- thanks
BTW just a quick note since you guys were talking about Dyna and his mad skillz-- when I watch the guys who breeze through Legend Road sometimes I think I can't do it, but other times I think "it's just about efficiency... they're sooo smooth and they waste no energy"-- of course I love it, which is why I'm drawing this comic. It's one of the most athletic and yet graceful sports I've seen that requires reflexes and good quads (both of which make a guy twice as hot in my book )
and guess what!!-- first time just yesterday I A'ed So Deep!! (heavy, 1.5x) 15 non combo steps, baby... and I A'ed Burning Heat (heavy, 2x) three times just so I could try for a minute to pretend to be Dynamite! I'm not even almost a little bit close to his score but like Saiyajin and Kel both said already... I just have to stay positive.
Or as a great rapper once said "I gotta believe!"
(okay back to work for makoto! scan, paint, letter, update, BAM!)
PS hee hee "frostbite" that's a cute name... _________________
