"So Fabulous, So fierce"
I was showing two dudes new to later mixes what an "Oni" course was. (They play 3rd mix elsewhere.) I had explained "Freeze arrows" and "Stops" previously.
I pick "Nearly 130", Never having tried it before. "Long Train Runnin'" was a cinch (Did it before). But then I get to "So Fabulous, So Feirce"
Normal song...lalala...
Stop...(Zoop)Stop(WHAT THE F***)... Stop...(Zoop)Stop...Step Step Stop...(zoop)Stop... Stop...Stop...(Fail)
MUCH OF TEH LOOLS!!!! _________________

heh...uhhhh....cartoon heroes, anyone???....they threw EVERYTHING into that song...um....HVAM of course...with the freeze that rocked my world...err...BAG x1, 'nuff said....the middle run in tears (of course i saw "naoki underground" and new immediately what was coming ::COUGHinsertionCOUGH:: ) MELISSA'S FANTASY...ahhh!....i had never played it and was wondering what made it a 9-footer...i found out REAL quick....
and the following songs belonged on the "WTF IS THIS???!!!" list when first played: secret rendezvous, the reflex, maxx unlimited, gamelan de couple, and almost the entire "trick" oni course ('specially those stupid @$$ floating arrows)...that's my semi-complete list _________________

Actually seeing bag in motion for the first time - "Ohhhh... shit."
Playing Oni for the first time was a big thrill. The stakes are a loooot higher. _________________

Yeah, I know what your talkin about. I've seen my friend try doing them. They look difficult and I find that hard to PA cause of the runs at the end. Good luck PAing that one, it's impossible unless you put speed mods. And Cartoon Heroes really threw everything from gallops, freezes and all that junk 1st time playin it. |

Man that one beat freeze in HVAM totally caught me off guard...i was like what the fuck! i kept moving but it didnt! *FAILED*
Guy i know told me to do Ska a go go standard, cause i'd fail it. im like standard? Like i can fail that. Got a FC to the end and im like WHAT THE HELL!?! Needless to say i failed
Nearly = 130 for the first time. Combo'd Long Train Runnin' like it was nothin. Got to So Fabulous, So Fierce to the pauses and was like huh!?! good miss miss miss *FAILED*
Beginning of Somewhere over the rainbow...like someone else, expected it to slow down and brought my health bar WAY down
The whole of Orion.78 ~Civilization Mix~...failed 1/4 of the way through sightreading...hard as hell.
Played Bag 1x after reading about it...Me----"Play on 5x? i cant read that fast.." 10 seconds later "Oh shit!" *FAILED*
End of Be Lovin'. I was playing against a guy i know, comboed up to the end...the step step jumps destroyed me
Middle of leading cyber. First time i played it i was like, ok, this is pretty easy...halfway through...*FAILED* me---"um, what just happened?!"
INSERTiON. First time playing, the gallops near the end...im like "Whoa wait a minute what am i supposed to be hitting?!" And the speed up at the end, wasnt expecting it
Stay sort of caught me off guard with the step-step-jumps and the multiple triplets.
PARANOiA Survivor. I got to the end with a good amount of life left, thinking "Man, this song is pretty fast, kinda tiring...." Got to the jumps before the turning and was like OH SHIT!! *FAILED* Didnt see that coming.
Tried PARANOiA Survivor Max on DWI...thought to myself why does everyone say this is so hard...? The the song started and i barely made it to the end runs, where i didnt last 5 seconds me----"No way i'm playing this on foot EVER!"
Got to Be In My Paradise on road of slow...me---"Jesus Christ this song is slow!" Got to the 1/16 run in the middle...me---"Ok, this is easy..." good good good good *FAILED*
Played drop out for the first time. Hm, this song sure is fast...OMG ARE THOSE ALL JUMPS!?! *FAILED*
I suck
EDIT: how weird is that, i just realized i made an almost identical post in http://www.ddrfreak.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=63495&start=20
and didnt even remember making the other one... _________________

Destiny Lovers. The beginning and end runs are so weird, yet the other parts of the song is fine.
I was doing a Nonstop, and that song popped up, I never did it before either. I wasn't expecting that... ¬_¬ That and Para survivor being right after it. _________________

Months ago, first time playing BB$ trick, was cruising along thinking "how is this a 7?"
Then the onslaught at the end left me in a "wtf?!" state as after a few steps into the finale I just stared at the screen, agape, probably looking like a complete idiot to any spectators.
"Oh, maybe that's why it's 7" _________________

Hmmm, I haven't seen any mentions of a lot of stuff that threw me off initially:
-The freezes and turning involved in Ordinary World. Ouch.
-L'Amour whatever....holy God...I still can't AA that song -_-
-Playing Witch Doctor for the first time...who knew something associated with Alvin and the Chipmunks could be that deadly?
There's other stuff like Flash in the Night, Be Lovin and Burning Heat that were already mentioned, so I'll end the post here _________________

Hmmm...let's see here:
Rhythm & Police KOG G3 Mix / Heavy- The entire song is a friggin run....and the galloping....ugh. Good thing it's a blast to listen to /while/ dancing. XD
Healing Vision Angelic Mix / Heavy- I'm a big fan of the original by Desire....so, I tryed it out. The tempo change nearly gave me a heart attack the first time around.
MAXX Unlimited / Heavy- "Wtf?!" I failed miserably. I still have yet to AA the damn thing.
Ska A Go Go / Standard- Eeeeeeeeeeeeeevil. The runs, man, the runs!!
Drop Out / Heavy- I still have yet to perfect the jumps. Humans shouldn't have to jump that fast. >_>
The Legend of Max / Heavy- Fastest song I've ever actually cleared (dunno if Bemani /has/ a faster song), however the first time was like "what the frick?!" when it got to the decelerando / accelerando. The screen went "good boo boo boo boo boo boo boo" and I was out 75-cents.
There are many others...however, I'll spare you my cries for sympathy. |

Here's another one to throw you for a loop.
Xenon - Standard.
I mean, come on ... I've seen Heavy songs with weaker bite than that! _________________
