Played drumania for the first time. I suck : ( I passed right on time begginer. That was the hardest song I've beaten. I can't wait to play again. So good am I comparatively to you guys on your first time.

Do you mean Right On Time basic or does the Drummania you played on actually have beginner mode?

I think I was passing 40s or so after a little practice on my first time playing, but by that point I could already FC 9s on DDR and pass 7s on IIDX, so it was pretty easy to make the transition to Drummania. All that really gave me trouble was the pedal.

(Note that these songs are 40s on Percussion Freaks 5th Mix... I think all the ratings were bumped down since then, so they're probably 20-30 on more recent games.)

haha, honestly, the pedal IS the problem with DrumMania. If I could turn that thing off, I could probably rip up a high # of those songs.

There's autobass.. but that's about as cool as autoscratch in IIDX.

Autobass helps you learn, but alot of people around here just throw it on and play as if the bass isn't even there. I wouldn't recommend this; instead use auto bass on songs you don't know the first few times through, and try to do the bass correctly anyways. You'll pick it up after a few times this way.

I see nothing wrong with using the autobass the first few weeks of playing it.

I used it for like...3 weeks when SVGL got it way back when. Now I can beat Concertino in Blue Extreme. Autobass really helps you get the rhythm of the pads. Just don't use it as a crutch.

I sucked cause I was figuring how to play it, the same goes for any Bemani game I touch. I am good at DDR, good at DM, I'm okay with BM/DM.
