Each one is individually playable in regular mode once you've passed it in an Oni course. _________________

maybe you didn't get what i said Remy,
what i meant 9 songs is songs that are only found on MAXJP and MAX2Jp
the ones you listed are exclusive in MAXUSA that aren't on MAXJP and others in previous mixes which i will specify:
Quote: | Remy wrote: 9? You're joking, right?
Candy / Luv Unlimited - found on MAXJP
Do It Right (Harmonized Step Mix) / SOTA feat. Ebony Fay - MAXUSA
Drop The Bomb (System S.F. Mix) / Scotty D. - MAXUSA
Dynamite Rave (Down Bird SOTA Mix) / Naoki - MAXUSA
Exotic Ethnic / Re-Venge - found on MAXJP
Groove 2001 / Sho-T feat. Brenda - found on EXTRA mix
Healing Vision (Angelic Mix) / 2MB - found on 5th mix Japan
I'm For Real / Slake feat. JP Miles - MAXUSA
Jam & Marmalade / FinalOffset - MAXUSA
Kind Lady / Okuyatos - found on MAXJP
Let the beat hit em! (Classic R&B Style) / Stone Bros. - found on EXTRA mix
Logical Dash / dj TAKA - MAXUSA
Look To The Sky / System S.F. feat. Anna - found on 5th Mix japan and Konamix
Look To The Sky (True Color Mix) / System S.F. feat. Anna - MAXUSA
Max 300 / Omega - found on MAXJP
Midnite Blaze / U1 Jewel Style - found on 4th mix Japan
Ordinary World / Aurora feat. Naimee Coleman - found on MAXJP
Orion.78 (Civilization Mix) / 2MB - found on 4th mix Japan
Overblast!! / L.E.D. Light - MAXUSA
Peace-Out / dj nagureo - MAXUSA
Secret Rendez-vous / Divas - found on MAX2JP
Share My Love / Julie Frost - found on 4th mix Japan
So In Love / Caramel.S - found on MAXJP
Spin The Disc / good-cool - found on MAX2JP
The Shining Polaris / L.E.D. feat. Sana - MAXUSA
true...(Trance Sunrise Mix) / Riyu Kosaka - found on MAXJP
Try *26* songs that are on MAXJP and MAX2JP are on MAXUSA.
|
as you can see there are 9 that are from MAXJP and MAX2JP
the others come from elsewhere
when i mean from those mixes i mean the Playstation Japan home version not the arcade
and no i'm not as ignorant as you think and on another note, if they can release a captain jack song on MAXUSA i'm sure they can release other licensed songs |

Highs Off U is a MAX1JP song. There aren't any returning MAX1JP songs on MAX2JP.
And you're really unlikely to find it on MAX2USA due to the lovely lovely swearing.
Radiojon: I still don't understand your criteria. The "exclusive songs" I listed from MAXUSA are in MAX2JP. That's the only Japanese mix you can find them in. If you're disqualifying songs that appeared in a US mix first, then what's the point of the comparison at all? You couldn't count Spin The Disc or Secret Rendezvous as being MAX2 songs then. _________________

By the way, The Magic Box put up the Dengeki sales chart for April 21-27th.
DDRMAX2 sold 7,455 copies in the 3 days it was available during said week.
For comparisons sake (games marked with a * also came out in Japan for this week):
Tenchu 3 (PS2)*: 122,156
Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword (GBA)*: 93,880
Giftpia (GC)*: 22,900
Made In Wario (GBA): 22,240
The Convenience Store 3 (PS2)*: 13,887
Final Fantasy X-2 (PS2): 10,699
Pokemon Ruby (GBA): 8,920
(DDRMAX2 falls here, #25 on the full top 50)
N.U.D.E. (Xbox): 5,786
And for some Bemani comparisons:
Beatmania IIDX 6th Style- 18,943 copies in its first week.
Pop'n Music 7 - 18,106 copies in its first week.
DDRMAX 6th Mix - 11,480 copies in it first week.
Pop'n Music Best Hits - 8,058 copies in its first week.
I should note that I have no idea where in the release week these other games fell, so MAX2 may be disadvantaged more than others by the late week release.
Just some numbers to think about. _________________

Remy: well crash, love love shine, and paranoia survivor are on MAX2JP then you wouldn't call them EXTREME songs then...those MAX2 songs (Spin the disc and Secret Rend) came out before MAXUSA came out just like how the songs from EXTREME came out before MAX2JP |

But then you're counting by arcade versions. If you're counting by arcade versions, then my list stands, minus the new songs from MAXUSA.
I understand that if you're counting the absolute first place the songs appeared, you get 9. However, you said "there are 9 songs that ONLY appear on MAXJP and MAX2JP" - but that's a contradiction of terms. MAX300 doesn't only appear on MAXJP, it appears on MAXUSA as well. Likewise, Jam And Marmalade doesn't only appear on MAXUSA, it appears on MAX2JP.
Above all else, I don't see the point of trying to count the number of songs that appeared FIRST on one of two home mixes that also made it to one US mix. It's not exactly what I'd call a useful number. _________________

A new Tenchu, and a new Fire Embelem came out that same week -- 2 other major popular franchise releases besides DDR. People only have just so much money. It would probably do better to compare sales figures after the first month. Maybe the competition wasn't quite so stiff for the other Bemani releases? _________________

The week MAXJP came out was the same week FFXI came out.
The week 6th Style came out was the same week Mario Sunshine came out.
Pop'n Best Hits came out the same week some Koei game that did 669000 copies came out.
And Pop'n Music 7 came out the same week Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire came out.
Hard to say they didn't have quite as much competition. :/ _________________

This week's Dengeki shows DDR out of the top 50. I don't have the exact sales figures, but they are lower than 3,300. _________________

I know how could Konami be so cruel. They gave us tons of exclusives and Paranoia Survivor, BUT THEY DIDNT INCLUDE EVERY SONG IN EXTREME. Makes me so mad. _________________
