I was having the same problem with Absolute recently. Thought I could pass it reliably, but hacked it a bunch of times. Sort of the same with Colors Eurobeat - the first couple of times I tried it I'd end up with 50-60% meter, but now I usually get around 4%. I can't pass any of the songs you listed except maybe R10k though. _________________

I finally full combo AAAed buffalo; with only 3 goods in fact! The blanket method works wonders. Perhaps if I play with only the blanket, my eyes will naturally focus lower when I play without it. Any thoughts? |

Ok, so when you play with this blanket covering part of the top of the screen, does that help you respond to the note faster, but not too fast, or is there just a glitch in the human genome that says that if the screen were only 3/4th visable, that I would do better? _________________

It just helps me read slow songs with notes jumbled closly together better (under 140 bpm) on HS4, rather than playing with sudden and hs3 which was my old method. It won't help for something as easy as beautiful days, but it worked pretty well on beautiful days another. I have a tendency to hit double notes early or late with one hand and get a good and flashing great rather than 2 flashing greats in songs like buffalo and beautiful days another. This made that problem go away. |

I think some people don't use the speed mods to space apart the arrows, but to make it so they react at the exact rate that it takes for the arrows to hit the bottom. This is why some people find sudden or the "blanket method" helpful. _________________

I taped a piece of duct tape on the top of the screen in place of a blanket. Doesn't seem to have quite an effect. |

More like a 7! Supposedly if you can pass it on L7 you can pass it on 7 key. I can't come close to passing it though. |
I just passed The Strong Jaeger on L7 yesterday. How hard is it on 7k? Oh, and thanks for the songs, once FFA gets 8th Style I'll try 'em out.

Enigma - You have any idea what vendor your arcade is using to acquire 8th style?
Does anyone have a list of vendors to obtain A IIDX machine from? Ones that do not strictly make internet based sales? |

There's always coinopexpress.com, but Ralph (owner of FFA) is getting it from MadKao. After Kao gets his 9th Style machine, he's selling us his 8th Style.

You even passed Dissolve? Get back here. That song needs a 7th star.
EDIT: Never mind, just killed it with a C and 128,846 points. |

Dissolve is definately one of the toughest 7K 6 stars on 6th Style. But seriously, 19,November needs a 5 star, not a 6. I one handed that song and got a B (and I suck at one handed 7K). Neway, new accomplishment for today, finally passed Summer Vacation L7, Romeo & Juliet 7K (that song was really getting on my nerves), Yesterday 7K, and Colors ~Radio Edit~ L7.

Trogdor - go burninate some Xenon, that's the first (and only) flashing 7 I can pass. There's one tricky part (that happens twice), the rest is pretty easy. _________________

Is it unusual to be good at IIDX on the home versions, but be really bad on the arcade machine? Thanks if you have any help.

Don't sweat trying to beat all the 6 stars before the 7s. I think if you already beat Night of Fire that you're ready to do 7 stars. Go for Flowtation, route 80s or Buffalo. By the way, you progressed really fast on IIDX. Good job. But I thought you said you already passed Skyscraper a couple pages back? _________________

Kaleigh - It's not unusual at all. You just have to get used to the slightly larger gap between the keys and the turntable if you're a two handed player like me. For one handed people, it wouldn't seem any different.

Today, I got to do some practicing at SVGL, and I can now pass a lot of 3s, and I passed my first 4. The song I did was Silhoette of My Mind. What are some other easy 4s that I could work on passing? _________________

Snyder? You play IIDX now? Cool! I'm no n00b but I'm not exactly great or anything. We'll have to play sometime when I swing by. Maybe next weekend....?
As for easy songs. Try New York (4), Burning up for You (4), and Mr. T (take me higher) (4) if you wanna start rackin up some cool, simple 4s. _________________
