Vincent-- thanks for the feedback! I agree with everything you said about it but also please keep in mind that the first chapter isn't even halfway finished yet! I only posted the first ten pages because that's what I finished last week and a friend of mine encouraged me to show some people and get feedback on it. Especially on the site (since it's my first time really doing this kinda web design and I knew there'd be gliches in my pages, etc) --Each chapter is 32 pages and all the main characters on BOTH teams will be introduce before the end of the First Stage-- kinda Road Rules/Real World Style... the section that's up now is just the intro to Dynamite; he's the 1st character, not necessarily "main".
I was hesitant to put anything up about it and I haven't actually shown it to anyone else yet because I know this part doesn't make sense on it's own, but it's still a Work in Progress, ne  ! Maybe if people are misunderstanding it, I should take it down for now until it's finished.
EMUpirate-- this isn't some kind of battle. I'm open to feedback and criticism, but you haven't produced anything (no comic, no links, no advice besides "get a job"). So I'm not sure what your point is. Maybe this is a misunderstanding-- maybe you thought I was planning to sell this? Or that it was finished already or something? But really I just like to draw and I like DDR. Nothing for you to be offensive about.
If you DO make a better comic in a few hours, then I'll take my links down and people can look at your art instead. That's fine with me too because deep down my art is about me and my friends. Even if everyone said they hated it, I wouldn't stop drawing. So if you have nothing to add besides "you suck", please use your brower's back button now. Feel free not to attack me anymore about it. 
Goatse.cx-- ha ha, that's them! the Legends of Maxx are the main characters from the East Coast, but there are a bunch more Atlantic players too. I sketched a bunch of the people I met over there when I visited him and the Harford guys last summer-- good times... (I hope I can go to another east coast tournament before I go back to japan, maybe I'll see ya there!) MaxxParanoia's got my AIM too, send him a pic, na

9feet-- maybe you're right, I'll try not to let it bug me it could be that EMU is having other drama right now that has nothing to do with us. PMS can make normally nice people say rude things, na?

You win, you may continue to draw your squiggles, but please do some justice to your plot. Here is how it is obviously planned to go, Main Character with winged backpack is going to beat Other kid. Other kid is going to be mad, Other kid won't leave the arcade and I doubt he will give up his tokens. Girl on Winged backpack kids side will be happy, other kids girl on other kids side will make some smart comment on his losing. Other kids from the beginning will eventually meet up with Winged backpack and they will meet...winged backpacks girl. They will all talk and that will be the end of the first comic. Next comic, they will see other people, other people will see how good winged backpack is. Also, in the last frame of the last page, the bar is just a little bit too low. It is at their knees, you might want to make it a little bit taller. And winged backpack smiles too much, you may want him to have a bit less cheerful look on his face. I made a little joke manga in MSPaint, but I am too lazy to upload it. It is one page and it shows why you should never play Will-O-The-Wisp on All Wild, random, x2. Bang.

Ano... I've been away from my computer for awhile, and I just got back on and read everything that I missed.
First off: EMU... if you're too lazy to upload your comic, than how do we know you actually did one? Gomen, demo... I don't always trust everyone I meet online... not a good idea to, ne?
Second: Constructive criticism is good... damaging criticism is bad. BUT... sometimes, damaging criticsm CAN BE GOOD! IF, and only IF, you turn it around to be good.  SO... Makoto, keep up the great job, and always look for the good in the bad... And... I can't WAIT to read more! I'm highly interested in it! (Wish I could be a part of it! )
So, yeah, that my opinion... again, sorry I've been out so long...

You're right, I shouldn't have posted just a piece of the beginning-- I know a lot of people didn't read through the other info but the girls are BOTH on an opposing team, so neither of them like that guy with the backpack (Dyna) any more for causing trouble in their arcade. He's cocky enough that a lot of people dislike him by the time of the tournament. And btw, Dyna doesn't beat Scott this round-- I agree, that would be boring although you may not like what actually happens to him either... especially since you still speak so poorly about my drawings, you're likely not to bother reading it, na?

Yeah, most are people I know... And I guess lots of people might not quite get my drift so far, but I love both Dyna and Scott-- (even though Scott is being kind of a dick to start with  Take that, Pict!) I might exagerate them but I'm not reducing my friends to simple stereotypes, ne? We all really like how the script turned out, so when I finally get to finish drawing it, I think we'll be happy with it... we'll see

That's what I'm screamin' ... Maybe when Emu feels up to uploading that comic, we'll get to see it. BTW, I confess there's a cameo by the ZeroTwo kids in the top eight at TenKay (I'm putting in little homages to my favorites, na!)... if you waaaant, I can put you in instead of Yolei! (You'd have to lose but in the end I guess you'd score with Ken, so what's a few missed arrows? ha ha ha, oh well, it's an idea!)

Nah ... kidding. I'm just waiting to see how the next update goes. I mean, I've already praised the comic as much as I could. I just hope as time proceeds, updates will become more regular. Then again, I am probably spoiled from seeing all my online comics update at least three to five times a week.
But tomorrow you update, right? And I get to see me in the sketch thingy thing, right!?

Actually the comic is pretty bad. It is by no means entertaining at all. All you've done from when it was first shown is add millions of introductory pages about some guy with a winged backpack going to the arcade. I don't think EMUpirate here needs to make his own comic just to realize that drudging through what you've made of your comic so far is not very fun to him.

thanks for the support, but it's this weekend (not tomorrow, hee hee you're killing me! once a week is all I can handle until after I'm done with my final project) and yeah I'll definitely include the sketches for you we'll see how it goes, if I sneak anything else past the other guys too...

You're right too. I never meant to drudge anyone through something they didn't like. I'm not at all claiming that I did anything remarkable. I just said hey, some people asked about my drawings so here's a link to the beginning. I didn't force anyone to endure the painful horror of my bad or or storyline if it wasn't entertaining-- And so that's why I asked EmuPirate to show me what he meant by "learn to draw"... he explained what he didn't like about the story but not about the art-- sure it's not his job to bother telling me but I figured if he took the time to write he'd have an example of what he meant. At least, that's what I would've done.
I wouldn't tell someone they suck for not running fives miles if I can't run that far myself. That's all I was saying But thanks, Robotcop for sticking up too. I appreciate your point too, na?
I know it's what I get for showing my work to others. I'm exhausted, what with getting ready to move, start at a new school and all too... whew, I'm outta here yo-- oyasuminasaiii~! minna-sama mo yoroshiku!

Keep up the awsome work. Let me know if I can be of any assistance. (I know you have tons of people ask you that, but from one form of artist to another I know that sometimes its hard to get some new ideas and fresh story line on the paper. However I'm sure you have the majority of the story line all set. Just let me know if you get stuck on some stuff, I'm more than willing to contribute ideas).
