DDRMAX2 Released For Japanese PS2

Today's the day! DDRMAX2 has been released by Konami of Japan for the Japanese PS2. Songs include a number of favorite licensed and original tracks from MAX2 (including Oni remixes), some older Konami Originals, a few new DDR Extreme songs, and a handful of remixes and crossovers found on MAXUSA. Additionally, the game features the return of Endless Mode, as well as a Create-An-Oni mode.

The official website can be found at Konami Tokyo; also, a list of Oni courses and an unlockable songlist have been put online by a Japanese fansite as well.

The game can be purchased from your favorite import store if your PS2 can play import games. Please note that the US version of DDRMAX2 - which will probably have an entirely different songlist - will not be released until the Fall.

That's Odd... it seems like some of those tracks that were supposed to be on the V-Rare CD aren't in the game according to that list... Feelings Wont Fade, Glacial, etc... I was kind of hoping to see new songs not just remixes

What features will it have relating to memory cards and the arcade? Will created Oni courses work in the arcade? I assume edits will have output manager again, what about creating link data? 5th mix's new version link only has about a 170 song limit. Will Max2 have this feature fixed?

Wow, the mix has excellent song choices! If their is one thing I could change though, i'd take out Little Boy (Boy Oh Boy Mix) and put in My Sweet Darlin'. That's it.

Wow! Too bad A Minute didn't make the cut.

I don't have a Japenese PS2, so this game will have to wait to join my collection.

Well, Sota did mention in the interview of the DDRMAX manual that he was working on remixes of Kind Lady, Look to the Sky, and Do It Right. Have we seen a sneak peek of just three new songs for the US version of DDRMAX 2? Hopefully, they'll be in.

Huh ... Spin the Disc as the replacement for A Minute on Nearly=130? Interesting. Though I always did like Spin the Disc.

And "Tricky" Oni Course? Is anyone else wondering if this could be the home version of "Trick"? Seems too similar in name.

Oh, and of course P. Survivor on Max2? Wow ... I would've never expected that.
