IF you're in Canada, then do check this site out for your DDR dance pads needs. www.gameenhancer.net/Game-Enhancer.html

They sell mymybox premiun pads & steel pads (6 arrows & 8 arrows) at fraction of the price.

Save on shipping too if you're in Canada. [/url]

Hey wumpus, you said the BNS dense inserts are AMAZING and very thick. Do Buynshop's BNS DX-Xtreme Dance Pads (the one with the insert) have the same insert in them that you say is AMAZING?

RO is 100$ and Bns one is 50$, but im not concered about the price. i wana know about the quality and stuff like that. and i still dont know how if Anything about these two pads are different? the description for both a like the same thing. plz tell me if u know anything about it.
(if u look at the picture givin for both pads...they look Exactly identical except the brand name on it. look at the lil wrinkles and stuff. only diff is Ro pic has better lighting on it. really weird) (i play 8-9footers fyi)
so which one is the better pick? plz support ur answer
any help would be really really apreciated

(i dunno if this a dumb questions, but when u buy a pad like the bns one listed above...it comes w/ the foam insert that u can buy speratly for 15$ right?)

I think the BNS one has a much better foam insert. I would go with the BNS one.

Well, even if you live in the US the MYMYBOX pads (or so the picture looks) are only $165 WITH SHIPPING, 6 button version. Two is $300...including shipping that is a godlike deal!

The FedEX man just brought me my PSX BNSUSA Dance Pads. Softpads that I bought from BuynShop. Anyway they are for PSX and I planned on using them in DWI. I have a converter and everything. But for some reason the up,down, left, down arrows will not be detected while trying to set up a gamepad controller. Only in DWI though. I don't know what to do! But the select buttons and start buttons work as the arrow keys?

If you are to mod it after the first few .... hundred.. uses would it still help? Or is it all too useless already? disturb.gif

Once the damage starts, it's pretty much irreversable; I'm afraid it's useless already.

No true damage has been inflicted, can it be reinforced, doctor?

Just wanted to add: if anyone has trouble with ignition pads, that is if the pad has sticky/phantom steps, do this mod http://www.ddrfreak.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=334049&highlight=#334049 it works, and it works really well, makes the pad last for a long time.

Yes. (they're all the same really, the differences are in warranty, customer service, et cetera)

i have an RedOctane2.0 pad.(100$) and i can say this has to be the best softpad out there. the quality feels like a 100$. u seriously get ur moneys worth. why about the bsn one that looks like RO2.0? my friend has two of em...and while they look like exaclty the same, we both believe that RO us the better pad. why? its kinda hard to explain. its one of those things when u just know cause u can feel it. the RO one seems a tad more sturder, and in plastic stuff inside the pad that covers the wires seems more durable.
soo ill say get the RO2.0 pad. u get ur moneys worth. the review on the site where u can buy the BNS pad even states so. they too belive that RO is the better pad. just a lil info.

The best soft pad question has always been a mystery to me. But now after reading almost every review and testing all the pads myself, I think the BNS DX-Extreme pad is the best. This pad and the red octane ignition are very similar except RO costs 2x as much. But beware if ur a hardcore dancer. After a few months, ur pad will fell corruption and start pressing arrows even if ur not stepping on it. But this is just my opinion. E1.gif E13.gif laugh.gif

And fendster - i'd like to know where BNS says that the RO pad is better. it sounds fishy. If u read the review at neoseeker's reviews, The BNS clearly beats RO.

=====> THE TRUTH <====

I have been ddring (24-7) since the summer. I have bought 3 DX extremes from BNS, and the pads are really worth your money. The one that i got in summer last year still works fine (btw i have never done any modding to soft pads). In fact, its still sensitive and accurate. the two others that I orders have broke down NOT because of durability, but because of the wiring. These pads will take the beating, and the first thing your pads with do is get a few rips uner the left and right arrows. BIG DEAL. I've been sliding and all sorts of things with these pads, so trust me-they can take it. If your a begginner, get these and you will be able to play with these until you can do almost every song on heavy mode. I basically think, since BNS is so busy and has already begun mass-production, it's pure luck if you get good pads. But if UPS will send your pads in fine (which is a high chance) they will last you for a long time. Red Octance just wants idiots that think higher price means higher quality to buy they're pads. devil.gif At $50 a piece, these are worth it. JAnsberg360, whose white and stomps on the pads, got these pads too, and (IM PRETTY SURE ITS THE PAD) is doing hardcore songs and being white at the same time. You guys dont have to worry about my opinions-im not stupid-ive rsearched pads everyday. Asian parents=smart shoppers.

DX extremes from BNS will do you good for a long time, ive had one since summer last year- it has wear and tear- but its still senstive and works fine. Wiring you must be careful with, cuz my newer extreme was out-lasted by my old DX.
2 DXs are equal to one Red Octane-think about it...
I'm in the metal pad fad right now, but if i was to go back in time, I would still order the DXs. In fact, my friends just ordered some. Thery're not white...i predict that it will last them at least through summer and winter.
PM me if you wanna tell me your insights on soft pads..
If you really wanna feel the difference between BNS and RO, you will barely feel the difference... I dont think RO pads are TWICE as good as BNS pads.

I can't comment on the difference between the RO and BNY, but I can on the difference between bargain pads and the BNY.

I've seen a lot of "DDR Recommendation" threads and pages where they say stick with the slip-n-slide until you get to trick/heavy mode. I am *so* glad I ignored that. My BNYs came today, and today I AAd ecstasy. Light, of course - I've only been playing a week - but still. The slip-n-slides were preventing me AAing much at all, as in almost every song it would miss at least one step. Now, when I miss, I can be pretty sure it's me and not the pad.

No real sliding around (a little rotation after a double dose of Healing Vision and Orion.78), nice feel, and the padding helps. Don't underestimate the value of the raised buttons, either.

Now, it remains to be seen how durable they end up being.

First of all, heads up to all the expert players, I just want you to know I am humble before you. Just a novice curiousabout some stuff.

I have just recently got into DDR. and am about to buy DDR MAX plus two "Maniac" Pads(you know the soft ones
that are white-ish, and say "stay cool" in the middle) for about 60 dollars, all brand new. As it is, the two new pads willgo with my mad catz one I already own.

I will probably get better pads when I get better at the game. What does everyone think? Also Could someone make a list of each mat, where I can get one, and what each one is like? I would VERY much appreciate the help. Thanks and keep dancing!
