2 weeks and you're passing 4's?! well it took me a week too, do you already have 5 key experience?

I just started playing Beatmania a week ago and im already doing 5's no problem.

Also, the first day my friend played Beatmania, he was able to pull off Paranoa Max flawlessly.

I wonder what happend to the "BM is NOT pick up and play" rant I've heard so much.

no, they don't.

you have to buy a key disc on its own.

well does anybody know where to get these key discs? cuz all ive ever seen on japanvideogames.com, ncsx.com etc etc is "appends"

tried beatmania for the first time this sat

it was super fun, i passed like a 3 star, haha, i only played 4 games, so i guess thats good? i wanna get better and then try iidx, tho ddr is still my main priority

I noticed that you guys haven't mentioned much about Gotta Mix and Gotta Mix 2. Does anybody have these but me? I must say that playing on high speed helps on quit a bit on really clustered songs.

I also give major props to anyone who can pass Crymson (Scarlet Mix) on Gotta Mix 2 Bonus Edit mode. It's 8 stars and runs at 240. It's insanely hard!

Actually, I'm getting Gottamix this very second. Is it pretty decent?

In the mean time, how well does append booting work with a game enhancer mod? Sound of Tokyo appears to be able to do it without lifting the lid switch, but I don't have any way to confirm that. Still, I'm not afraid of swapping a spinning disc.

I've got a quick question...

I have a IIDX controller, and I want to buy some of the older PS1 versions of the beatmania series. Can you use your IIDX controller to play the 5-Key versions, or do I have to buy one of those DJ Station controllers?

IIDX controllers are backward compatible.

IE: Yes, you can use it with 5 key games.

ecko i think the only reason i was able to pull of Paranoia Max is because well, i really like Paranoia, i mean i've heard all of the remixes to know the melody and beat of the song, no matter how fast/slow it is.

oh and by the way hahahahahahaha
