My muscles have been overstrained a couple times. I took a hot bath to soothe my legs.

Let's see. I've gotten shin splints a few times from playing for upwards of 8 hours, so it reeeeeally hurt to walk the days after. Also, the skin is like...wearing off my left pinkie toe from rubbing against my shoe. Oi. E4.gif

Well, I was at home one time, listening to DDR music and dancing around with my 2-yr-old nephew, and he walked under me, causing me to sprain my ankle, and I ended up on crutches. I wasn't actually "playing" DDR, but alas, my obsession with DDR is one of the reasons I sprained my ankle. frown.gif

he he, I alwayed loved this thread.

My most recent injury was a couple months ago when I broke in my new Vans PLaying DDR. I bruised both my big toes pretty bad. One of the nails has pretty much fallen off but I had to tear it out cause It was cutting up the rest of my toe everytime I played. Bloody socks galore.

The other toe is currently falling off, but I'll probably have to rip that one off as well.

i tend to get hurt alot no matter what i'am doing. I have become VERY sick from trying Dead end on manic 5 times in a row w/o warming up, become dehydrated from playing too long, pulled out my lower back from playing WAY too long, hurt my ankle doing something*can't remember* and tweaked my ankles, toes and hands doing handslaps and knee drops.

like i mentioned earlier in this thread...i've also had toenail problems myself......

i believe though that this reason mainlyis due to the new shoes that i got, cuz i never had that problem before.........do you feel this way after hurting you toenail with your new shoes?......just curious and wondering if we share the same opinion.....

I may be wrong, but it seems that what you just said was a lie to get some sort of attention. The way you worded it, well I don't know I see things like this all the time so I decided to say sokething this time.....don't even listen to me, I'm stupid.

I seriously hurt my knee once doing a knee drop... I kinda fell into it, and didn't control it like I should have... now when I'm in dance class, we have to do knee slildes, and it still hurts sometimes... maybe it's an internal bruise, I dunno, but it hurts.

Well i wasn't the one that got hurt. It was my friend and in a weird way too.
While he was playing DDR i think on the song so deep or burning heat this little kid was watching him next thing you know it the kid punch him in the leg right by were his knee is. He said frust.gif "That hurt!" he didn't play after that for a while.

Oh yeah... another time... I didn't get hurt, but this idiot did! riiight.gif These stupid guys kept running in front of me at the old arcade I played at (before it closed), and I got fed up with them, so as they ran by once more, I smacked one of the guys REALLY hard! E7.gif I never saw them at the arcade again! laugh.gif

back when I first started playing, I hurt something in the top of one of my feet and it hurt for a really long time. I kept limping around. and other times I've been hurt is when I've fallen while playing doubles. really knocks the wind out of you when you fall. and you get bruises.

Let's see. Since I'm trying to play regularly now, my feet are getting pooched.

Saturday: blistered the inside tips of my big toes and bruised both big toenails. I love my shoes. I hope the rest of you are right and breaking in new shoes messes up your toenails, because I can't afford another pair of even el-cheapo shoes. =P (I don't wear shoes much. Can you tell?)

Yesterday: blistered the outer tips of my baby toes playing barefoot on a hardwood floor. (No, I don't have a pad.) They weren't so bad until I threw on my horrible shoes and went out for another couple of hours of 'real' DDRing... 'Hey! Look! You can see inside my toes!'

Walking is not the no-brainer it used to be, now. =\

I have a Navy medical today. I'm dreading trying to explain to the doctor why my feet are all buggered up. =)

I've damaged my wrist punching a 5th mix because I failed Music on Maniac...
Oh!! And I took a nice floor dive while doing Twilight Zone Heavy 1.5 cuz the pants I was wearing were too big and I slipped off!
