i don't think Para Survivor MAX/Trip Machine Survivor/Paranoia Survivor will be unlocked, simply because like that "true" remix in 6th mix, it was never available for play whenever you wanted, you had to go and get it yourself.... so it'll probably be the next four unlocks being like LoM, probably some ultra bullshit oni course, some bullshit nonstop course, and then all of the modifiers. |

Sorry if I missed this, but how do you get to the service menu to begin with?
Shouldn't this all be put in the Extreme FAQ?

Yeah, it was available to play all the time once you put in the code. _________________

I got that much, Phrekwenci. But, for those of us who don't own or understand how to fully operate a Japanese Arcade machine where is this button located?

If you had access to inside the coin mechanism, you'd probably know which button it was, since there are, what, three buttons? _________________

Two. The white service button to give credits, and the other button to get into the system menu. I always get those confused |

I'd have to disagree. It all depends on the machine. Those are imports (with the white buttons). The others do have 3 buttons in a vertical placement usually in red. In the following order:
Test
Credit
Phuq up the screen for no reason _________________

That's the degauss button. There's plenty of reason behind degaussing a monitor. _________________

It messes up, then fixes itself, right? So, if it's already messed up, you can press the button, it will mess up, and fix itself, fixing the original problem! (sometimes)... _________________

yeah it has something to do with getting rid of some of the Burn-In, and gets rid of like static and other discolorations from magnets. _________________

I know the topic has pretty much shifted right now to things about the songs themselves, etc...
But I was wondering, could anyone give me tips on how to convince the arcade owner to put in these codes?
I ried once, and horribly failed because I didn't have enough proof with me to back it up. I now have the Official Konami Japanese Page, A translated Version, and a copy of the first page of this thread.
To be really convincing, I would probably have to get a copy of one of those faxes Konami sends to arcade owners (suitably edited to hide names, etc...) Any way I can get that? _________________

Explain to him that the codes will only make more people want to play on the machine.
He should accept that and if he doesnt just
go to another arcade.
On another note, When I was at the arcade today I realized the 28-39 total up to be 8 different items; #28 being 3 items, #29 being 2 items and #30 being 3 items.
Maybe its a possibilty that .5x, Inverted boost and Fuwa Fuwa will show up?
I'm personally hoping for Let Them Move Survivor. _________________

sooo.. are we gonna get unlocks 28, 29, and 30 all at the same time a week from now? or are they gonna drag it out over a bunch of weeks... i would hate them if they did that (wants to be able to pass LoM, cuz he cant read reverse) _________________

I think the secrets under the 28s will be unlocked one week, 29s the next week, and 30s the week after that. Why else would they number them that way instead of numbering them to 35?
My prediction for the remaining secrets:
28s:From Home Version nonstop, Trip Machine Survivor, Paranoia Survivor
29s:DR Sota, Look to the Sky new mix
30s:LoM, DDR, Paranoia Survivor Max |

My bet is that there will be one code to unlock the remixes of look to the sky, dynamite rave sota and from home version (which will have drop the bomb system f, do it right remix, dynamite rave sota, and lookto the sky remix), and then the last code will unlock the songs in red (paranoia survivor, PSmax, legend of max, dance dance revolution, and trip machine survivor) I doubt that the special modifiers will be unlocked in this version, but I bet they show up in the next arcade edition; compare that to the onis that could never be unlocked in max2 (giving incentive to play onis) but now being unlocked in 8th. Another theory is that there might be an extra unlock with the modifiers, kind of like oniroad2 was #31 on max2. Who knows, hopefully we wont have to wait too long for the new codes.
Also, what exactly is the point of the unlock codes for extreme. The codes were originally for licensing purposes on 4th mix (pay $ = get new songs) and i assume 5th was originally for the same reason (although they are konami originals) and max's was to let everyone try the new songs, even if they couldnt AA max300 or stand to play through two beforu songs); while max2's was for catching everyone up unlock wise. I wish everything would be available from the beginning except for the hidden extra stage songs. |
