Yeah, but I don't have a PS2
*shrug* I'll just try it. If it doesn't work, I can always sell it on eBay... |

I heard that the DJ Station Pro wont work on newer mixes of Beatmania (4th, 5th, 6th). Is that true? Im dying to get one of these things. _________________

What's the pros/cons when comparing the Konami DrumMania controller to the 3rd party one? |

Basically, the only thing different about the Konami DM controller and the third party DM controller (I'll be using Topway as an example) is the bass pedal. On the official Konami controller, the base pedal is made out of foam and is kind of annoying... where as the third party (Topway) DM controller uses a plastic, spring loaded base pedal so it seems more realistic.

i can't back this up because i haven't tried it...but that that doesn't make any sense at all, especially since the controllers are based off psx controllers. |

i'm not good at wiring, so those of you who are...
would it be possible to make the wires from the drum mania pedal to the guncon pedal? because that would be sweet.
also, there's that "stairmaster" type game...double bass? hahaha. _________________

I just bought a "Guitar Boy" GF controller off of japanvideogames.com and I've had a couple days to play on it already. I have to say, this is possibly the BEST third party GF controller you can get. It's about the same size as the arcade GF controller (give or take a few inches), the buttons are rectangular... unlike the weird shaped buttons on other GF controller. It's certainly a lot heavier than most other GF controllers, which adds to the arcade feel. And finally, instead of having the spring loaded pick tab that's in all other third party GF controllers, this controller has one that works just like the arcade one (it's just shaped a little differently, but it's not spring loaded). I'd have to say that this is probably the best, and the cheapest third party GF controller on the market, not only is it almost exactly like the arcade controller, the buttons are very responsive and you don't have to smash them down like you do on other GF controllers. So, if you've just bought GF, and now you need a controller... you don't need to spend the $119.95 that the Konami GF controllers cost, you can just head over to http://www.japanvideogames.com and buy yourself an extremely good quality "Guitar Boy" GF controller. I give this controller an A+.

Dang it, just bought a Drummania controller from Japan Video Games... could have gotten that at the same time and saved the $12 shipping. |

Get a PSX->USB or PSX->Parallel adapter. If you want a cheap parallel adapter, Buy 'n Shop sells one for $6 + free shipping. |

|
|
I recently purchased a 3rd party controller from Ebay.. I am a bit worried though. Because it said that it was compatible for GF for PSX and only have the PS2 version.
My question: Will this controller work on my PS2 version Guitar Freaks and DrumMania? RedOctane sells an identical 3rd party controller and claims that it works only on PSX games.
Please help in this matter,
Thank you in abundance (advance)

It should work, as all PSX controllers are supposedly compatible with PS2. |
