|
|
I installed the drivers for the EMS USB2 adapter and the arrow up key or down key seems to be stuck. When I removed the dance pads from the adapter the arrow still seemed to be stuck.
Seems like the EMS USB2 adapter that I bought has a problem.
Anyone care to comment?
Seems like I got the new model of the EMS USB2 adapter. It is a small black square. If you peel off the EMS sticker on it there is another logo saying be art underneath it. It is NOT white.
It says Gun controller converter DUAL SHOOTER. I bought it from Level 6.
There is also a little switch on the side that says GAME and PC.
HELP! |

Vleep1, make sure the switch you talked about stands on PC, then you might have to put a second controller on the other port. it worked for me like that at least |

If there are any adapters with support for two controllers, lemme know. _________________

Hopefully this hasn't already been asked and answered-
Do IIDX controllers work just w/ normal USB -> PSX converters? I have an EMS adaptor and it doesn't seem to be working at all. (but it could just be my lack of knowledge about setting it up)
edit: My adaptor doesn't seem to recognize my IIDX controller at all. JoyToKey doesn't seem to work for my EMS adaptor. _________________

I got a BNS DX-XTREME pad recently. It came with a converter that goes from Parallel port to Playstation. Does this thing need drivers?
EDIT: It seems this thing does need drivers. Where do I acquire them?
EDIT II: Ok, so I found drivers. Though the pads don't register arrows on DWI but they will in test mode. What do I need to do? _________________

You unzip the zip file and run the psxsetup.exe

Do you know where I can buy these adapters from stores instead of ordering from online? _________________

I bought the usb adapter at www.cyphergames.com, and I also have the dance pads from that same web site. I'm trying to get it to work with stepmania, but the buttons don't react well. I installed the software that game with the adapter, and on stepmania, the steps ARE detected.... yet when I do double steps (hit 2 arrows at the same time), it doesn't react. anyone know how I can fix this, is this a problem with the usb adapter, or something else? _________________

ok, just to let everyone know, the psx->usb adapter sold at cyphergames.com does NOT work for stepmania. the adapter works great for just a psx controller, but since the adapter sets up the buttons according to x-axis and y-axis, you can't hit up/down or left/right at the same exact time. Therefore, when you use a dancepad with this adapter, you will encounter these problems (unless your dancepad is set to X and the other buttons besides the directional buttons). _________________

For anyone looking to use a IIDX controller for Beatmania sims on the PC, my Radioshack PSX to USB adapter works fine. The controller worked with my EMS2 adapter, but mine has the odd delay in response... a real killer for anything Beatmania. |
