I forgot that Nu-NRG is also a good genre (even though it is so made up). |
nu-NRG is quite real and IIDX is pretty good with accurately describing it. nu-NRG and UK Hard house are the exact same thing, only nu-nrg is a bit faster. it's now just called NRG however for reasons i cannot explain, the fans adn makers of this genre are the biggest drug users of all besides them goa producers and their hippy drugs.
IIDX has too many made up genres. hyper eurobeat trance does not exist; cuddlecore does not exist; bitmania does not exist; etc you get the picture.
i've heard much better goa trance outside of IIDX but drum'n'bass is really well represented. i even like super highway. now if only it had better jungle......
oh yes, and Intelligence is fake as well. closest thing is IDM, intelligent dance music, and abyss does not even come close to sounding like IDM. abyss sounds more housey than anything. to describe IDM, take everything you know, put it thru some advanced calculus equations, and shove it in a blender. serve unhotcool. |

errr....I think he was talking about why it's only called NRG instead of Nu-NRG now. Not what the NRG is for.(who doesn't know that?)  |

Yeah, WinMX is your friend when dl'ing tatsujin vids. I also got several others from there. Like A, R5[A](how can you get 195K on that song?!!!  ), Linus[A], Night of Fire[A], The Safari, etc., etc. Most usually AAA's.

Has anyone ever had a temper tantrum or gone into nervous breakdown because of IIDX?
I've constantly gotten PO'ed playing. Here are just a few moments of insanity I've suffered:
- R3 [7]. Missed 1 note, lost track of the beat, and then furiously pressed buttons which not only made the song sound retarded, but also caused a raise in volume level.
- Fly Through the Night [7]. After missing one too many notes, I got depressed, put my head down, and watched as I embarrasingly got Poors for the remainder of the song.
- Jelly Kiss [L or 7], at various times. Goddamn ending. Being a person who can pass 6*'s and can get an A on Sync [L], failing a 4-star makes me look retarded. |

I get PO'ed sometimes when playing. Mostly when either:
a) I get that one friggin miss on _____ (blank includes any song I've FCed before, or just can't quite FC because of the one miss syndrome).
b) Andrew says, "Try this song. It's an easy 7," and I fail miserably. Or when he says, "Try this song. It's an easy flashing 7," in general. No, Xenon and Abstract are not easy... or even if they are, they aren't easy enough for me.
EDIT: Is it just me, or is V 7-key autoscratch really fun, even though I can't come close to passing it?
