Jeeze, no half double OR XX double? That's a huge step backward in my opinion. I guess I should be happy with my Premiere 2 only 5 minutes away, too bad the nearest Extra is two states over. I wanna play Starian soooooo bad.

PMaster, you have a PREX unless you have Remix mode. Then that's Extra.

Fowl, what state are you in? Have you looked in the machine locator on Pumpxtreme.net? There is a link to locate machines by state. They are user-submitted, so definitely not 100% accurate.

LOL! It probably just has an old marquee. The O.B.G. 3rd Dance Floor means Oldies but Goodies.

Once you put in your credit, don't step right away. Wait for the title screen. It should say THE PREX or EXTRA. But either way, whatever the title screen and not the game marquee is what to look for.

If it still doesn't say any of those, then look for these other songs: Pierrot, Monkey Magic, Wayo Wayo... those are all PREX and EXTRA songs.

OBG = Worst Mix Ever. I have it at the mall closest to me, and the only song I liked was a rock song called Cordiality or something like that.

I was at the mall today. where they have a PIU Premiere 2 and a 3rd mix.

and this guy was almost as good at PIU as I am at DDR. except I also play DOubles on DDR and he doesnt on PIU.

ANYWAYS. He was acting all cocky and talking crap about how he hates DDR and it sucks whatever. what I thought was funny is that he would play the hardest song first RAP THE BAR MAD and put it on 3x speed or higher. He even ended up failing the first song once. All I did was laugh at him.

I was playing loner on crazy and beethovens virus on crazy and i got my ass handed to me harsh. I kept getting tired and losing my balance. It sucked. Also I kept falling backwards but the bar caught me. One of my weaker moments in PIU history. disgust.gif But Im the least most cocky person in the world so the only people who were laughing at me were the white method man dudes with their sean john and timbalands and gold teeth and crap. Now those dudes are funny biggrin.gif

But the game we have here is "Pump It Up the Premere" and it has a advertisement for the 2nd something.

It has some songs like monkey magic, ferryboat, final audition 2, and lazenca(?) on it. Its an okay mix. I only like about 10 out of 40 songs on there anyway.[/b]

That's not Premiere, that's PREX (Premiere + Extra). Basically, it's Premiere, minus a few songs, plus a bunch of the songs from Extra Collection.

Okay, so I was playing PIU Extra at a local arcade, did one of the remix songs, the YMCA song, forgot the name of it. My questions are.
1) What is the name of the song?
and 2) How am I supposed to keep my foot on the center pad, and hit all 4 arrows at the same time on the last note?

1: I think it's called "Young Man."
2: I have no diea, since I've never had the chance to play Extra or PREX.

I guess i am lucky. my feet are big enough to hit three at one time, and all you have to do is hit the other 2 with your hands.

Personally, I'd crouch down really low, and then go into a Miss S' Story ending. Basically, crouch down REALLY low and face at an angle, then pick your foot up just long enough to move your foot to the panel in front of you and hit the center panel with your knee, your moved foot hitting the panel in front of you, other foot hitting the panel directly behind you, and hands hitting the panels to your sides.

Here is how I hit all 5 steps: (i don't always succeed)

Facing the screen, crouched down as far as possible: left hand / right hand hit the top steps, left foot hits lower left step, and the right foot hits lower right step AT THE SAME TIME as your right knee hitting the center step.

Lower left step is your foot, whereas the lower right step is more of your toes or the point of your shoe hitting the step. Now I do this for Miss's Story. For young man, is the last step a long center note followed by the 4 corner steps? I can't remember...

man me and my friend were playing PIU on friday at gameworks and we were playing battle mode. Now when we play PIU here, the battle mode is just same songs, same difficultly, it justs posts the winner at the end of the 3 songs. But at the gameworks, i was doing better than him and his side would make a gunshot sound and get really fast. We were doing a slow song and I was doing a little better and then !BANG! his side was going so fast you couldnt watch the steps, it was funny. laugh.gif

Ah, Battle Mode. I've made people so fed up that they'd just walk away in the middle of the song.

It works like this. You build up your combo, then let it break. When it breaks, your opponent gets attacked. The higher your combo was, the more severe the damage. It ranges anywhere something simple like increasing your scroll speed by one step to making them do 8x Random Vanish.

So that's how battle mode works? Hmmm... I may have to try that the next time I play it...

The Battle mode in Premiere 2 is basically just a combo counter. Get a higher combo, win the battle. Simple as that.

Premiere 1 has the attacks where you get as high a combo as you can, and if it does break at a high number, you will slaughter your opponent with crazy options, cause him to break his own combo and then slaughter you back.

The other difference between the two is that Premiere 1 battle gives you 3 songs no matter how bad you fail. Premiere 2 battle still fails you out of the game if you screw up on song 1. BUT... if you make it to song 3 you will be in Crazy mode.

Neat huh?

Battle mode is fun. Nonthing like playing a song just to have it speed up or slow down or even have the arrows disapear. I use to play all the time when i played Perfect
